The Uruk-hai also too closely resemble Native Americans,

That is a horrible slur gainst Indians, or any human beings. Beyond two arms and legs, Uruk-hia have NO human attributes.

"Can you imagine how people of skin color, of Persian, Arab and East Asian ethnic background feel when they come out of these films where all the heroes are white and all the 'evil doers' are of dark skin," Hart writes."

Oh come now. Evil gets its ass kicked, so why would these groups be sad about that? And if they don't like white people being heroes they can go to any number of films starring Denzel Washington or Wil Smith. And only the biggest crybabies would focus on how whites are good and dark skin people are bad. To do that they would have to totally forget Adolph Hitler and the horrors he unleashed. Pathetic twits.

I also believe that the word "blackout" puts people of color in a bad light (or lack of it). Perhaps we should consider calling them "oopsies". Then there's the Black Arts, Black-Balling (that might also be considered a prideful phraseology and may make it through the censors), and blackberries (not sure how they are racist, but I'm sure someone can figure it out).

I don't know what funny drug these leftists are smoking, but I have to agree with you. The Uruks aren't human at all. Speaking of Native Americans, the people of Rohan are a cross between the Plains tribes and the ancient Anglo-Saxons.

How about good people vs bad people?

Now that's a hell of a racial concept.

Well Well, what have we here? Judging a movie based on a book written over 50 years ago by today's standards? Standards that weren't in place back then.

How about we go back and do that to those great liberal icons JFK and FDR and see how they measure up?

IIRC, the same arguments were advanced when Fellowship of the King was released.

Yup- and the argument was stupid then as it is now.

From the article:

The Uruk-hai also too closely resemble Native Americans

The author of those words is an idiot. The Uruk-hai are clearly thugs from the streets of Baltimore, er, Baltimordor.

Persians are more ethnically pure Aryans than Germans, so that kind of puts the racist slur under a cloud, eh?

"Glendale Community College math professor Walter Kehowski had the nerve to call some Latino students racist following a Dia de la Raza celebration in October."

Could it be he called them "racist" because they refer to themselves as "La Raza" ("The Race")???

But, aren't eh uruk-hai descended from Orcs? and weren't eh orcs originally fairies who were distorted by Melchior? So, the Uruk-hai are really nephews of the fairies.

"People like Lloyd also think movies like Star Wars are documentaries."

Actually, someone did sue Lucasfilms, implying the 'clones' looked and acted like stereotypical Mexicans. Supposedly, he was offended. I don't know the result.
