Will anyone else admit that they used to like his music? His early stuff, at least? He wasn't always a sick freak. He used to be a positive, dynamic musician, innovative and brilliant, at least until the crotch-grabbing thing started...that was a bit of a clue that things were getting weird.

Will anyone else admit that they used to like his music? His early stuff, at least? When I hear him talk about his "magic" climbing tree in white he wrote songs like "Man in the Mirror" and "Childhood", I keep wanting to tell him to go back to the tree in which wrote "Thriller" and "Off the Wall".

Will anyone else admit that they used to like his music? If I did,I wouldn't admit it.In my youth,if you were caught with one of his tapes, you were sudjected to constant ridicule. My bunch were die hard metal heads.A MJ tape would have become instant target practice.

That point has been made many times over on the threads discussing Jackson.
My personal fave from the Jackson Five is "Got to Be There".
Watching him unravel and change into this grotesque person who clearly acts inappropriately with young boys (I posit that just the sleepovers he openly admits to is abuse in and of itself) has been an appalling sight to behold over the years.

I liked his pre-Thriller music. But I did think the video for Thriller was pretty cool. New, cutting edge. Who would have known he was modeling himself to look like his character later in life from that video, LOL.
