millions of workers who have been locked out of entire industries by employers who refuse to hire Americans, or by illegal immigrant workers who will not tolerate Americans in their midst.

Legal immigrants do this too. One example being Indian and Chinese firms in Silicon valley that won't hire Americans or will screw him if they do.Plus mostly Indian and Chinese departments that will not accept an American hire.

I got your point. You were saying that Mexican immigrants are a better class of immigrant than the Irish of yesteryear.

Ireland and Italy don't share a border with the United States and their immigrants didn't have the motive, means and opportunity to take over a large region of America.

That one's above the IQ of most Americans and most conservatives. That is why Mexican immigration (legal and illegal) is such a problem. I don't want a joint merger with the third world world cesspit of Mexico.Huge numbers are coming here legally via familiy re-unification. Same for Central Americans. One fifth of cesspit El Salvador lives in the USA.

I have friends (U.S. Citizens) who are married to foreign nationals. As part of the application process for an immigrant visa, they are required to produce a clean police record and show financial means or skills for self-support or have a guarantee from their spouse of such support. This are the very basic of a number of logical requirements.

Sorry but the financial support provisions are ignored and are simply not enforced. You can bring your elderly parents here from China. They can and do get on SSI, Medicare, housing, food stamps and other social welfare goodies. Despite any pledges you make they will not become a public charge.

SSI is monthly payment that's equal to/greater what many retired get from Social Security. Many elderly foreigners come here to "retire". Have never kicked in one dime to Social Security.

217 - "thank you. I hope to participate in more interesting discussions like this one." (even though you consistently fail to answer questions with any kind of reasonable answers)

Glad for your attitude - unlimited rights to immigration where ever anyone wants.

114 - "I believe, ... that immigration is a right,

Absolutely great. I have been looking for a new place to live. Please give me your address, as I believe I have a right to immigrate to your house, and I have about a dozen friends who I can bring to live there too.

Polybius made you a fine offer, to back up your words with deeds in #186, and you still haven't answered it yet.

I make you an additional offer for me and my friends to move in with you as we have a right to do that which you certainly understand.

Please give your name and address, so that we can get busy making arrangements. I am certain you will give us your full support.

Why don't you try to go to Mexico, work and send money back to the US?

The undocumented workers can't open a bank account, can't pay into Social security

Wrong on both counts. Many have bank accounts; most prefer to deal in cash, as they are untrusting of financial institutions.

Most illegals are paying into Social Security. They pay payroll tax. That's automatic and mandatory. When they get their paycheck, 7.65% has automatically been deducted for FICA, plus their employer has to kick in another 7.65%. The illegals receive paychecks. Very few are paid in cash under the table. They just use false or stolen or duplicate SS numbers.

Let's see. You are the one who used the politically incorrect term first. Why did you use it and who do you think it describes?

237-"I have a friend who flew planes all over the world during WWII. He noticed one thing about the very poor countries, they all had too many people, that is what you are proposing for our children, and grandchildren."

I agree. I lived and worked in many poor 3rd world countries, and found this to be the case, consistently.

Only Hong Kong and Japan had high densities of people and high economics. In fact, I remember that Gallup did a survey of economies of the world back in the 1970's and the lower the economy the more people the repondents said they needed.

They just use false or stolen or duplicate SS numbers.

Actually, they don't even have to, anymore. They are now given TINs -- taxpayer ID numbers. It's called stealth amnesty. There are so many types of unofficial, illegal amnesty that the various state governments and the feds have fabricated, that I can't keep them all straight.

Agree highly. I remember many firms which would list 'ability to read and write and speak Mandarin Chinese', as one of the job requirements, for jobs here in the US. As no normal American could comply, this would allow them to discriminate legally, and bring in a chinese from china, who would be otherwise inelligible.

"How Illegal Aliens are Bankrupting and Disenfranchising the American Middle and Working Classes"

The sub-headline should read: "By Simply Voting Democratic".......

Meanwhile, white, American-owned firms are not permitted to require real, necessary standards, of minority applicants. Is it me, or is this dichotomy on the surreal side?
