I am hoping our soldier got his package in time for Christmas. We are waiting to hear back from him. Maybe we will go ahead and send another package without waiting to hear back.

Does anyone know the turnaround time for packages to make it to Iraq? We sent ours on the 5th, thinking it would be enough time. Gosh I hope he got it!

I also sent a few shoe boxes around the 5th(from Fla). The guy at the Post Office said the boxes would first go to NY where they would then be put into military mail. He believed military mail was getting thru pretty good and took about 10 to 12 days. So, I, too, was hoping the boxes would get there before Christmas. We can only hope.

It most likely got there. At Christmas, the turnaround time was 14-28 days average, after the rush it is fairly routinely 14-21 days, sometimes even 10 days.

My guys apparently did. Mail seems to be working reasonably well.

I sent the following to two guys in early November, to beat the "you must mail by this date for Christmas delivery" deadline:

You'll note it mirrors down the middle.

While this was sent on the last day to send and guarantee Christmas delivery, it got there early enough that I got the following "thank you" in an envelope a couple days before Christmas:
