The President of Pakistan is the only thing standing in the way of OSAMA bin LADEN's
gaining control of those 100 Nuclear Weapons stored in Pakistan ...to use against US..!!!
And who knows how long it will be before the nuclear arsenal of France
will fall under control of the not-too-distant Islamic Republic of France?
Funny, Dubya and Blair can talk sense to Mussharrif (sp?), but Chirac is thicker than a brick.

AND NEVER FORGET that bill had almost eight years to do something to prevent the world wide organization of al-qaeda. Ever since the Mogadishu antics of al-qaeda which were known bill could and should have nipped the terror organization in the bud.
But he was too interested in himself and the left wing agenda to do the JOB HE WAS "HIRED TO DO". Party boy is responsible for all this as well as jimmy carter for letting Iran become terror central.
Bill instead went after the right wing and microsoft

The cruse line companies can probably control who gets on the ship but out side attacks are tougher to control. An airplane or another ship crashing into the ship is very hard to counter againstWe took a cruise to the Caribbean over Thanksgiving, and the Coast Guard follows every ship until it leaves American waters and the minute it hits American waters. While in port, the local police are watching like hawks from high-speed boats.
But, if somebody had taken a small plane and flown it into one of the six ships sitting in Port Everglades, there's not much anybody could have done.

Isn't it just great for us targets that the democrats are working as hard to take away our 2d ammendment right to defend ourselves?????????
This is one of the reasons for the 2d ammendment and is also why it "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED".
The founders knew what they were doing.
The gov can not protect us from every threat of this kind without becoming the complete federal police state the founders and our founding documents were/are so against.

...thousands of future potential passangers will be scared to take a cruise. Horse hockey - 9/11 changed the game. Nobody is gonna listen and behave meekly to terrorists anymore. Just look at the Richard Reid incident, that adrenaline is pumping through you you're thinking of your loved ones and family tell me you ain't gonna stand up and kick some terrorist's ass.

Why would terrorists want to sink a cruise ship when burning it to the water line would kill just as many people and make far more spectacular TV than the oil slick and flotsam left by a sinking?

It would probably be correct to say the new high tec ships have very sophisticated fire systems to put out any fires.
Blast a couple huge holes at waterline and the ship sinks slowly with media helos all over for the world to see unless it is done far out at sea.
Thousands of tourists in life boats and drowned at sea would be effective. As well as sinking the ship.
Could this be the reason for the ship training al-qaeda has been taking lately according to Mansoor Ijaz?

The official in question had no idea what they were talking about. If the target is on the ground, what the hell is a collision avoidance system going to do? Make the plane bounce into the air?
There's been enough accidents over the years to know that yes, you can fly a small plane into a jumbo jet if the jet is on the ground. In the air, much harder.

AND NEVER FORGET that bill had almost eight years to do something to prevent the world wide organization of al-qaeda. And Howard Dean wants to protect Osama bin Laden's right to an impartial jury trial.
"We calculated in advance the number of casualties from the enemy, who would be killed, based on the position of the tower," bin Laden continued. "We calculated that the floors [of the World Trade Center] that would be hit would be three or four floors. I was the most optimistic of them all. Due to my experience in this field, I was thinking that the fire from the gas in the plane would melt the iron structure of the building and collapse the area where the plane hit and all the floors above it only. This is all that we had hoped for."
