A London-based Arab magazine said on Friday that Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden has vowed to launch a back-breaking attack on the US by February, confirming an earlier message by the militant network. The weekly al-Majalla said it received an e-mail from Abu Mohammed al-Ablaj, a little known Al Qaeda member, saying bin Laden would release a video tape in which he affirms his groups determination to fight the US.
A messenger of bin Laden informed him (Ablaj) that the Al Qaeda leader will appear on a televised tape after the execution of an operation which bin Laden described as back-breaking and which would change the order of things, al-Majalla said in a report in its latest edition.
They (Americans) should prepare...their coffins, hospitals and graves. The coming days will be full of surprises and great events which will make them a historic example, the magazine quoted Ablaj as saying. The report came after US officials ordered their colour-coded alert system raised to orange, the second highest level, citing possible year-end attacks.

Odd correlation. The difference is that U.S. forces continued to recieve valuable intelligence on where they were located, and were found soon afterwards. Where has Bin Laden been after Tora Bora, based on anything more than a rumor or media hype?

That is still rhetoric. Me telling you that a very minute part of Muslim society is "thugs" will not change the fact that you are a bitter old man.Bitter? Yep. That happens when friends and neighbors of yours get blown up by terrorists simply for going to work in the morning. Not very old though, thank you.
You have deftly avoided my question though.
Are you planning on answering anyone's questions, or are you more interested in trying to play word games?
More to the point, do you condemn the actions of the terrorists whose goal is the destruction of America and the Western way of life?

Could you please tone down on the anti-Islamic rhetoric? Only a minute percentage of us are "terrorists." Only a minute percentage of Japanese had any involvement in Pearl Harbor. That did not save Hiroshima

he has had no reason to make a public declaration, so why not stay quiet and just hide. Mansoor Ijaz says we have intel that he is in iran.

If it had nothing to do with Islam, why were all the terrorists islamic? Would somebody really commit suicide for politics?? Are you saying the 9/11 terrorists did what they did without any motivation for serving their allah and going to paradise? And do you really think that only "MOST" of the victims of 9/11 were innocent????

It had nothing to do with Islam, so I don't see why all Muslims should apologise or pay any apologies to the kaffir world for what Usama did for his own political ambitions.Let's get more basic. Can you define the term "kaffir" that you have used to define the Western world?
And can you also tell us how and why -in your opinion- the Radicalists have chosen to take this path geared toward the obliteration of the West in general and America (and Israel for that matter) in particular.

Again, events like 9/11 and your mcVeigh prove that they were not real Muslims just as mcVeigh was not a real Christian, though he claimed he was.Why "your McVeigh?" And why are you saying that McVeigh was not a "real Christian," as if to imply that he was an unreal Christian but Christian nonetheless?
McVeigh was an agnostic and Jesus made no appearance in his rhetoric. If anyone has to wonder how McVeigh's ideology could evolve out of theirs, the people who have to raise this question are the Godless, not the Christians.
When innocents are killed by political motivation (including what Amreeka perceives to be street terrorists and suicide bombers) , then yes it is to be condemd.
By calling my country "Amreeka," it seems to me that you have sided with my enemies. Usually I would feel ashamed that you might encounter some anti-Islamic bigotry on this site, but it seems to me that you beat us to it with this name-calling. Sorry, but use of the letter "K" in the word America implies that we are Nazis and is a grave insult. Also objectionable is the claim in your Free Republic profile that "Most religions are very localistic but Islam accepts that all races." Most religions? The only localistic major religion I know of is Hinduism, and modern Hiduism has in large measure gotten beyond this. Try finding what is positive in your heritage rather than slamming that of others.

I would feel a lot better if the administration had a counter attack in the pipeline.
If these subhuman ass sniffing raghead moozlim beasts manage to massacre any more Americans, we had better have a better response than another operation in Iraq.

He had plent of reason. He was a showboat and loved to show his face. And what better to motivate other Islamic psychos than show up an say "HA HA Im still alive. UBL would never sit out the entire Iraq war. That single event, in his mind, would have been the culmination of U.S. policy towards Islam.
Many people in Iran want the mullahs out of control and can benefit by saying UBL is in Iran, shifting U.S. focus towards there. Just like many of the Iraqi defectors spilled a whole load of B.S.
