Dec. 27 MOSUL, Iraq (Reuters) - U.S. soldiers killed four Iraqis in the northern city of Mosul on Saturday after coming under rocket-propelled grenade and small arms fire, U.S. military officials said.
Soldiers of the 101st Airborne Division, which controls a large swathe of northern Iraq, said they were checking for improvised explosives devices often used by guerrillas against U.S. troops when they came under attack.
Staff Sgt. Eldon Noble said U.S. troops returned fire, destroying a car from which they had been attacked and killing its four occupants. Iraqi paramedics pulled charred corpses from the car, which U.S. soldiers said was carrying RPG rounds.
U.S. troops in and around Mosul have repeatedly come under attack in recent weeks, including a car bombing that wounded dozens of soldiers.

I knew this was Reuters when they described the terrorists as simply Iraqis.

Good read--maybe the weeks of US being "sitting ducks" is coming to an end.

I can't help wondering how many American soldiers would be alive today had this policy been adopted fron day one?
I'm still baffled why any civilian carrying firearms in public are not shot on sight. It's not rocket science. These people are determined to kill us. Handguns for self-protection are not brandished in publc.

Correct Title. It's amazing to me that these people keep fighting. Our troops must kill ten for every one we lose. They must have lost hundreds if not thousands of these insurgents by now.
One can only conclude that these are the same suicidal terrorist vermin that infest Palestine and attack Israelis.
That is, they carry the same suicidal genetic code. If they weren't fighting us now, they would be oppressing their own or a neighbor.
Any sensible fighter would have realized they're in a lost cause.
This further justifies the entire Iraqi war as part of the battle against terrorism.

Note to Iraqi paramedics...you aren't paid enough to pull dead corpses from burning cars.
Let the flames go down first and don't risk being near a burning car that might be full
of RPG rounds and ammo!

Here's the car in question.
It has to be a bummer, having your RPG's light off inside the car.
