Although Labor and the Likud differ in their views on the solution to the Palestinian question, we both oppose in the strongest terms the creation of a Palestinian "mini-state" in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, first and foremost because it cannot solve anything. It certainly will not be able to absorb the almost million and a half Palestinians who currently reside beyond these two areas; and just as surely it will be ruled by the most extreme faction in the Palestinian political spectrum - the PLO. Such "internal" Palestinian politics might not be any of Israel's business were it not for the fact that the leaders of the PLO have declared - and I believe them - that they view such a "mini-state" as but the first phase in the achievement of their so-called secular, democratic Palestine, to be built on the ruins of the State of Israel once all the Jews who arrived after 1917 (or, with slight modification, after 1948) have been expelled. Given that scenario, there is little wonder that the overwhelming majority of Israelis are so strongly opposed to this "option." And though attitudes have changed before and may very well change again in the next few years, I doubt that my countrymen are likely to mellow toward the prospect of their own destruction."

What is the answer then? That's the problem. Aside from mass deportation of all "Palestinians" back to their sandpit of origin (across the Jordan river), there is none.

Full Israeli soverignty over the areas, and those Arabs who are not terrorists can continue to live there, but without Israeli political rights.

What makes you think the Palis will go willingly? They won't. End result? Running street battles across the entire West Bank. Pictures of Israeli soldiers kicking down doors and throwing old men, women and children out into the street with guns trained on them. And what of the Israeli soldiers themselves? Sorry they're not Terminators. They, contrary to what the media portrays, have consciousness. Ethnically cleansing such a vast area will hurt their morale and fighting ability. And what makes you think the Arab world will help out the displaced Palis? Hello! It'll be in the Arab world's interest for them to make sure the Palis starve and die off due to the Israelis. And what of the rest of the world and the US? You think Bush is being an ass by forcing a Roadmap on Sharon? Just wait till they try to put the plan into action. An embargo would be probable with the end result being the destruction of the Israeli economy.
The Palis aren't going anywhere. A resolution will have to keep that in mind.

Palestinian State = Destruction of Israel IOW, abomination of desolation.

obviously Rabin was thinking differently in 1993 ... I guess these warriors get tired and think their enemies have changed ... it doesn't happen too often ... as Arafat has only gotten worse since the assassination of Rabin in 1996 ...
The dividing of the land of Israel will lead to Armageddon ... it is foretold ... it appears it is going to happen ... but there will be a false peace first ...

Do you really think anybody really cares what happens to the Palis? Nobody cared when they got kicked out of Jordan... ditto Lebanon. Nobody cares about similarly (or worse) situated peoples elsewhere. Everyone condemned Israel for taking out Osirak two decades ago, but secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
No, I don't think anyone will take any long-term action against Israel that they wouldn't have taken anyway out of anti-semitism.

What facts might I ask have been ignored?
Whatever gave you the idea I consider the Palis "friends???" Is your definition predicated on my not wanting them ethnically cleasned and/or killed?

Images of Rabin or any Israeli leader sitting down to negotiate with that waste of skin known as Arafat is an image that makes my skin crawl. They should have taken Arafat out last year instead of just letting him sit in that compound. That type of action is something that the throwbacks will understand and respect.
By the way, Arafat in my White House is an abomination, and an insult to all thinking Americans of any ethnicity.

A short quote posted by Yoni from the Rabin memoirs. Twenty-five years after the fact. Amazing how ingrained "the lie" has become in the global consciousness.
