The true credit that Fitzgerald deserves is this: He had the stones to facilitate getting a good Federal prosecutor in Illinois to handle the George Ryan case. The Republican machine is so messed up, it wouldn't have had the courage to get a "clean" prosecutor in here - but maybe a wimpy "go along to get along" kind of prosecutor. Also, I'd like to see DuPage County cleaned up, also.....too many lingering issues and shady deals. The Republicans have a long way to go to gain Illinois for Bush.

The GOP house that needs to be cleaned is in florida, starting with Sen Jim King, not to mention Sen Dennis Jones, Sen Tom Lee, all notorious RINO's.
