I'm not the one ignoring the rules of personal attacks. I wanted to know how someone can continue to insult people and get away with it without being banned. I don't even have posts deleted because I do go by the rules.

You have stated you have ignored the rules, had posts deleted, you're still here and you're a big contributor. Thank you for proving my point.

I know at least one decent contributor who was banned. I also know that before I ever donated and was being harassed/cyberstalked by someone who bragged that he could get away with it because he donated, that he was publicly told that it didn't matter how much he donated and that he was to leave me the hell alone.

Every abuse report is handled as if it's the first time we noticed a poster. We first look a the content of the post. If it's offensive, we pull it immediately. Then we may start looking at the poster's history to see if he's a newbie, a repeat offender or anything else that stands out in his record.

Based on what we see in the history we can take several actions. Suspend him for a period of time. Ban him or recommend he be nuked,

If I can look at a person's comments today and find demeaning and insulting posts, I can only think that there is nothing the person has to worry about as far as getting banned.
