What happened to the conservative concept of accepting responsibility for your own actions?

Now that the truth about Rush is out, its all a sinister plot by the VLWC to get Rush.

Give me a break.

Rush was a junkie buying dope from low life criminals who ratted him out, period.

He should act like a man and be responsible for his own actions instead of whining about how the mean lefties are out to get him.

Rush sounds a lot like Bill Clinton lately.

Excuse me, but Rush is NOT whining about being caught, and is actually happy to be free of the drugs finally. He is upset about the constant false accusations that he can't respond to!

Accepting responsibility? Gee, it seems he did that, and then went into treatment to get the monkey off his back. It should also be noted he tried this twice before, but could not take the needed 5 weeks off without alerting people like you that he had a problem. As far as punnishment; few addicts who look for treatment ever get charged - none go through the media trial he is going through. Why is he going through the media trial? Because he is conservative and bothers the media.

Ozzy never went through treatment for anything and is held up as a role model by MTV for our kids. Ozzy is still stoned out of his head and may not even realize he had a crash on his ATV a few weeks ago. Ozzy's pain is all self-induced. I have not seen you condemn him without a trial, as you have Rush.

And Rush was not "ratted out by the criminals" - the FL authorities were looking into a perscrip drug ring and happened to come across his name as a customer. No other customer's names were leaked to the press, just Rush. It sounds to me like someone had an agenda and was willing to risk on on-going investigation just to take him down a peg.

You sir, are no better than the Democrats who stood by Clinton during impeachment, despite the facts against him, who refused to look at the facts. You are willing to judge against someone who is a leading conservative just because he had a problem that may or may not have been of his making. I will admit that Rush did make some bad choices; the worst one being going under Dr Quack's knife. He should have "DR shopped" much earlier. But speaking of which, why are you not calling for an investigation into DR Quack; the person who started this whole sorrid mess?
