Black XXIII: "Dubyuh's Stand!!"
The MudCave (Festive Holiday Edition) | 25 December 2003 | Mudboy Slim

Posted on 12/25/2003 10:05:29 PM PST by Mudboy Slim

"Dubyuh's Stand!!"
(To be sung to Bruce Springsteen's "Jungleland")

(Mudboy on pie-anny...somebody strokin' the fiddle....gently!!)

Our soldiers'll have their Homecoming...in DeeCee, 'cuz it's Right!!
And the DemonRats'll queue their DeanMachine...but we're ready fer the Fight!!
Braindead Libs frettin' 'gainst what's Good and our God...
Left promotes Fear...their loss's the Country's gain!!
The Rats fight 'gainst our own...seditious stance...
Dem Lib'rals, they lust fer Power like Ol' France...
But can't escape Bill Clinton's scum stain!!

Well, that Ashcroft Lawman runs 'bout "flamin'" not chasing the RATS or Ol' Slick Willie!!
And the Libs round here look just like shadows...always scair't of takin' stands!!
FReep the churches...give RATS Hell!! FReedom is the A.N.S.W.E.R. fer the World!!
Patriots, join our band...Join in Dubyuh's Stand!!

The FReeper gang's assembled...Forum's a rendezvous fer the Right!!
They'll meet `neath that giant Exxon sign that brings this fair DeeCee's blight!!
Folks, there's an opera out on the Turnpike
Fer less Guv'ment, we in the RightWing shall rally!!
Then the Limbaugh troops--DittoHeads--join our holy fight!!
The street's alive as secret debts are paid
Contacts made, they vanished unseen
Kids flash guitars just like switch-blades hustling for the record machine
The hungry and the hunted...explode into rock'n'roll bands
That face off against each other out in the street
...Join George Dubyuh's Stand!!

(Guitar jammin')

In Left's Medyuh Pit, the luminaries fret 'cuz they ain't the rage.
My FRiends, the "Hate Bush" dweebs are out there...but their Hatred is the Brain-Dead Way!!
Power-hungry Lib'rals struggle 'gainst our Country...
Desperate as the Right moves on...RATS're kooks but they'll splinter, then they're gone!!

(Big Man on saxaphone)

In DeeCee City, Bold Hearts FReep...
Soul engines running through a night so tender
in a bedroom locked In whispers of soft...refusal and then surrender
in the tunnels uptown The Rat's own dream guns him down
as shots echo down them hallways in the night
No one watches when the ambulance pulls away
Or as the girl shuts out the bedroom light
Outside the street's on fire in a real death waltz
Between what's flesh and what's fantasy
and the poets down here Don't write nothing at all,
they just stand back and let it all be
And in the quick of a knife they reach for their moment
And try to make an honest stand

Left'll wind up wounded...BigGuv'ment's DEAD!!
The Right is Dubyuh's Land!!

HOOOOOOOO-HOOOOOOOO....woah-ah-woaaah...woah-ah-woaaaahhh...

"Bet, I've seen more of America, than most American's have seen of Europe!"

That's undoubtedly true. Never been, myself. My daughter and her husband went to England on their first year wedding anniversary. Got taken to all the touristy spots, though. But really enjoyed the experience.

"I think if it had been up to Bush, there would have been about one week of talkin' to the U.N. and we would have just invaded, not dinking around all that time begging puny countries to give us permission."

I believe the timeline with regards to our Liberation of Iraq was entirely a result of the readiness of our forces to begin the process and the whole UN-approval process was a big charade that we didn't give a damn about!! Definitely one of the most impressive performances of Dubyuh's presidency to date!!

"And when Turkey refused, I think Bush would have just sent 'em through Kuwait and gone full steam and forgot all about Turkey."

Turkey blew an excellent opportunity to gain the everlasting respect of a very powerful American president...their loss!!

"He'll listen to these Powell and the others. But he don't wait forever. So, given my estimation of his instincts and determination, I'd very much favor 'letting Bush be Bush'. The more often, the better. That's when I like him best."

On international policy, I most certainly agree with you...and I'm not prepared to make a strenuous argument against the possibility that Dubyuh is a lot more conservative than his advisors allow him to appear on domestic policy. That said, we've gotta admit that Dubyuh's the man ultimately responsible fer his actions, and a good leader cannot blame his advisors fer his unwillingness to enact his innermost preferences!!

That's undoubtedly true.

BTW, I was being facetious (if slightly, ironic) in that statement. No offence intended. :-)

Never been, myself.

Why not? Just as a matter of interest? There's just a whole lot of 'old' history on this Continent sultan, I'm sure you'd love it.

My daughter and her husband went to England on their first year wedding anniversary. Got taken to all the touristy spots, though. But really enjoyed the experience.

To be honest, most of the best parts of Britain are it's touristy spots. Unless you get down to Cornwall, or up into the Yorkshire Dales. But still a nice enough place. They should have hopped a ferry on over to Ireland though! They would have liked that better (of course, I'm biased *L*)

...the possibility that Dubyuh is a lot more conservative than his advisors allow him to appear on domestic policy.

I don't think 'allow' is the thing. I think they persuade him to do it. There are times when he talks about things where I think I'm hearing exactly what he thinks and actually wants. There are other times when he speaks about something and it sounds like someone else's thinking, like he doesn't really believe in it much or really care about it.

I'm not claiming secret psychic powers. It's just the impression I get at times. Sometimes, he comes across much more personally, more sincere, more intense about his subject. At those times, our president could be called telegenic, though the press would never admit it. He can be very appealing.

President/Percent Increase in Domestic Discretionary Spending*

Lyndon Johnson (1965-69) +4.3%
Richard Nixon (1970-75) +6.8%
Gerald Ford (1976-77) +8.0%
Jimmy Carter (1978-81) +2.0%
Ronald Reagan (1982-89) –1.3% (Yes, that's negative. God bless the Gipper!)
George Bush, Sr. (1990-93) +4.0%
Bill Clinton (1994-01) +2.5%
George W. Bush (2000-04) +8.2% (and still eleven months to go)

*source: U.S. Office of Management and Budget, Historical Tables, 2004

But as for my arguing anymore, with anyone, on the subject? Nope, no more ... Landru

I kind of agree with you, Dan. But, then again, tomorrow is another day. And when I am (once again) labeled a traitor to the Republican party because I will not march in lock-step with the new, improved (*cough*) Republican catechism, I’ll most likely be donning my arguing hat once again.

(Maybe I ought to try hiding it way in the back of the closet with my Oliver North for Senate button and my Bork Deserves a Fair Hearing pin? .... *sigh*)

I gotta admit that I get similar impressions, but I feel like a FOOL when I see him champion proposals to increase funding fer the National Endowment fer the Arts and fer paid volunteerism!!

"There are other times when he speaks about something and it sounds like someone else's thinking, like he doesn't really believe in it much or really care about it."

What is he thinking when such nonsense emanates from his lips?! I get the feeling he's a very bright fellow, so such nonsensical drivel is extremely unbecoming to me...what can we do to make Dubyuh follow his instincts to a greater degree?

"He can be very appealing."

On foreign policy, I've become entranced by his resolute posture on many an occasion, and I share your admiration for what I consider to be his natural inclination towards conservatism on domestic policy as well (ain't that right, 'Dru?), but he needs to follow his instincts on a more regular basis. If he were to do so, I sincerely believe he will be revered in an almost Reaganesque fashion over the years!! If not, he's very close to following his daddy into One-Term Irrelevance!!

Oh, I think every president has to propose things they're pretty lukewarm about. Oh, and someone, yeah, I think probably Rove, put Laura Bush up to announcing the NEA increase. I don't think she was looking for any such role. She's a very private person generally and has never shown the slightest interest in being a Hillary II with her fingers stuck in the policy pie. Laura Bush is just above that, I think. She is a woman of considerable dignity and reserve.

"President/Percent Increase in Domestic Discretionary Spending*
Lyndon Johnson (1965-69) +4.3%"

Sure seemed like more at the time...although I was only 6 at the end of his term...LOL!!

"Richard Nixon (1970-75) +6.8%"

Slimey bastard never had a lick of conservatism in him!!

"Gerald Ford (1976-77) +8.0%"

Who the hell elected him?!!

"Jimmy Carter (1978-81) +2.0%

Whatever...

"Ronald Reagan (1982-89) –1.3% (Yes, that's negative. God bless the Gipper!)"

Dittoes...yes, Virginia, Domestic Discretionary Spending CAN BE REDUCED!!

"George Bush, Sr. (1990-93) +4.0%"

Abandoning the Reagan Revolution results in a One-Term Presidency...take note Dubyuh!!

"Bill Clinton (1994-01) +2.5%"

I, for one, do not trust these numbers...LOL!!

"George W. Bush (2000-04) +8.2% (and still eleven months to go)"

A horrible legacy, and only partially explicable by the Homeland Security legislation...still, if he can freeze Domestic Discretionary Spending fer '04 and promise to keep it under wraps fer his second term, I'm willing to enthusiastically support him fer a second term!!

"But as for my arguing anymore, with anyone, on the subject? Nope, no more ... Landru"

"I kind of agree with you, Dan. But, then again, tomorrow is another day. And when I am (once again) labeled a traitor to the Republican party because I will not march in lock-step with the new, improved (*cough*) Republican catechism, I’ll most likely be donning my arguing hat once again."

You needn't feel embarrassed by yer dissatisfaction with Dubyuh's domestic spending performance to date, but we must remain open to the possibility that Dubyuh will find religion before his second term, IMHO!! The thought of allowing a DemonRAT to become our Commander-in-Chief half-way thru our War on Terror is simply that unthinkable!!

Apparently, it some kind of little Rose Garden thing.

Don't get me wrong. I doubt she objected much, she and Barbara are sort of genteel country club Republican Southern women. So this kind of worthy cause is okay with them. But I doubt Laura was particularly eager to get into the limelight.

I guess I think that Laura is sort of like a Texas version of the Queen of England. She's about as close to being regal as an American can be. Yet, there is a hominess about her, you see her ways are those of a mother and wife and homemaker who was quite content in that role.

Don't get me started on Laura Bush. She's very fascinating. And a little mysterious.

I don't know about the CFR being bipartisan. They are the ones running this country; not Bush. It is they who manipulate political parties to their own benefit. The CFR was created by Edward Mandall House, a utopian socialist who wanted to overthrow existing government based on what our forefathers built, and replace it with a utopian Amerika under socialism. His creating a socialist country is what destroyed this great nation forever.

A president be re-impeached? How is that possible?

Speaking of re-impeachment, we're getting ready to recall this governor Arnold out here again. He signed the drivers license bill that would enable illegals to get drivers licenses. That right there calls for recall! If your governor is thinking of doing the same thing, you should recall them too.
