My understanding is that the French detained and questioned some people at the urging of the US...and then released them.

You have to remember that we're talking about France here. The same France that won't cooperate in the prosecution of Moussaoui by sharing information with us.

Good question! I'm wondering what happened to the rumor/fact (posted on FR and reported on FOX I believe) that the original heads up on the al Qaeda plot came from Iranian intelligence.

If anyone can elaborate on this - please post info.
