Nothing is as it seems in this little vignette.

The cell that has been planning to pull off the "Trash Can Man" attack on Vegas has been compromised big time.



Because you can never be sure if other cells are planning simultaneous attacks, you issue the warning.

If the idiots show up, you bag and tag. Then try to obtain 411 from perps.

If the rats scatter, as appears to be the case, there is a world of very interesting intel to be found from their movements, connections etc.

Because we appear to have given sensitive info to the frogs, it appears that plan B might just have been the best case scenario. Very real possibility that one of the rats may have been turned.

I just love it when the big boys play.

Could the "suspicious passengers" identified by the US be a con to see what the French would do? Just a check on whether they are any nearer to coming around or whether they, the French, are leaks (collaborators) and still can't be trusted? *sigh* Their food, wine and countryside is so good; why do they have to be so rotten?
