It's RICO, not RICCO. Otherwise, I completely agree with everything you said. Well put!

As far as other nations .... they don't share a border with us.what difference does that make. Mexicans are historic enemies of the United States, and notoriously corrupt (Mexicans themselves will tell you this). They are taught from the elementary school to hate us. Why import enemy separatists? I'd prefer bringing in grateful, honest, friendly, non-separatist immigrants to do the work that needs to be done. Like Poles, Indians, Chileans, etc.
If Mexico wants to be a socialist paradise, let them do it, give the people a land reform so they can have their huts, grow corn, and subsist. This is the walk and talk of the present-day Mexican politician, but when it comes down to providing the people with what they need, they are almost completely dependent on us - and I think most Americans are sick and tired of their act. We are rewarding these pathetic oligarchs with immigration reform, too. What did they do to deserve it?

" Would you support a temporary work visa for illegal aliens?" If it could be shown where the need for that worker could not be filled by someone already in the United States.
You know, like someone already drawing a welfare check or any other of government handout.
When all of those people are working then we can think about letting others in on work visas.

From a disadvantaged land where they have been crapped on for several generations.
The reason their land is "disadvantaged" is because of the people who live there -- they have all the natural resources they need. For whatever reason they tolerate a corrupt government. And if we allow them here, we will become just like them -- just as California is becoming like Mexico.
You can't expect them to look at all our wealth and fat lifestyle (compared to them we are all fat cats) and not take advantage of our healthcare and schools.
That's why we want them out. If we thought they would be a net benefit, we would want them here.

This is like asking if we would support John Ashcroft stepping
down in favor of William Bennett. The massive centralization
of government embodied in the destruction of the Tenth Amendment
has to be stopped and rolled back before we can even consider
replacing tweedle dee with his dum doppelganger.
Contemplating additional cracks in the dam when the whole
country is thigh deep in water is a serious misapprehension
of the problem.

All it takes is the national will do do something. My idea is foolproof IDs. Hell, put a chip in their asses I don't care. AND tough penalties for those who hire non ID bearing workers. AND jailing illegals once the ID system is in place.
No more free healthcare. No voting by non-citezens. No more dragging in all your cousins and living in two rooms. No more criminal because criminals could not get the ID.
##########################################
Take your meds, it will become clear when you do.
You suggest putting a chip in their asses and you think Im being silly? Get a grip.
We have the laws in place to do what I suggested. We dont need any new laws, or any internal passport or any chip stuck up anyones ass. All we need is an administration who is willing to enforce the laws they are sworn to uphold. Cut off the welfare and the jobs and the problem is solved. The criminals will leave and others will not come.

Some politician, I forgot who, once got into serious trouble for suggesting that America can more easily assimilate immigrants from Europe than from Haiti. The news media dumped on him pretty hard.
I think we should take unlimited immigration from the UK.

No government can compete with a free market economy. As long as the lure of employment is present the Mexicans will continue to flood in. A temporary work visa is a GREAT solution.

If you want to know how God feels about something, I'm sure you'll agree, a good thing to do might be to read His word! Here are some suggestions:
Deuteronomy 32:8 (He set the boundaries of the peoples.) God intends that nations have boundaries, borders. He made it that way.
Acts 17:26: (God sets bounds of habitation that they should seek God)
Duet. 28:43-44 (The alien who is among you will rise above you higher and higher, but you shall go down lower and lower. He shall lend to you, but you shall not lend to him; he shall be the head, and you shall be the tail.) This was a penalty and a curse, were Israel to allow herself to be overtaken and corrupted by foreigners.
Duet. 28:32: (Your sons and your daughters shall be given to another people while your eyes shall look on and yearn for them continually...)
This is what is happening to Americans now. It is a curse, not a blessing!
1 Tim. 5:8: (If anyone does not provide for HIS OWN, and especially those of HIS HOUSEHOLD, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.) God does not require us to sacrifice our children's future just because racist, covetous lawbreakers demand it for their own benefit. We are not only allowed, but commanded, to care about, and protect, our own first.
Prov. 13:22 (A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children.) What kind of inheritance are we leaving our children's children by allowing this invasion to continue? Will our grandchildren be despised minorities in their own land, persecuted, discriminated against? What kinds of schools, hospitals, wages will they have? How crowded will their country be? What kind of taxes will they have to pay? It is my belief that future generations will spit on our graves for allowing our leaders to give our country away.
While reading the Good Book, you might also want to check out how God blesses obedient nations and curses disobedient ones, so that the disobedient nations may see examples of prosperity and thus be drawn to God's truth. You might also pay particular attention to the parts about pride, coveting, and stealing, oh, and being in submission to authorities over us (obeying the law.)

We are quite spoiled as a society and we just don't like getting our hands dirty any more. I know I know .... not all of us. But a majority
Not at all a majority. Some of us. So why do you want to reward the lazy, guilty Americans by allowing them to hire cheap Mexican labor?
To: mercy
So, they are not acting in a Christian manner so I can treat them like ----. That's your position? Again, no one is forcing them, and if they didn't like how they were treated, they wouldn't come here.
Besides that, why do you feel we are obligated to treat them better than their own countrymen and their own, freely elected officials treat them?
Why is it Christian for us to give them preferential treatment when it is done at the expense of more needy and oppressed people throughout the world who could do the work? Answer: It isn't

LOL Be prepared for a WOG flood, then. Anglo-saxon Brits
live in the UK because they want to. The non-ASB will be
your immigrants. No thanky.

I find your scriptural references bigoted and false. You can make the Bible say anything you want to make it say.
I'm not advocating mass influx of illegals. I'm advocating a controlled foolproof guest-worker program. Probalby one that would halve the number of Mexicans in this land.
If you live in the Rio Grande area I can understand your feelings. I would move if I were you.

We used to bring in Chinese 'slaves'. Witness the China-towns in every major city. This nation was built on labor. Labor, Land and Capital. That's all there is. Every Western society imports labor. It is just the way it is. Period.
It makes a big difference who you import.
Chinese are not and were never a huge drain on welfare services. They do not want to carve a Chinese nation from several US states. They do not clog the criminal justice system. They do not demand that we speak Chinese.
