I'm sorry if this has already been posted. I stumbled across it this morning and I still have tears in my eyes. I'm so proud to be a Texan.

Didn't matter ones position in life. Black White Jew or Christian. Mexican , Irish or whatever ancestry. Rich or poor.
Americans coming together to celebrate and mourn one of their own.
Thanks and GOD bless soldier.

Shusssssh...... Don't be sorry. I was only trying to give additional links and info for others to read if they so chose to.

Your repost brough it back to the attention of others that missed it several months ago. It is a very fitting story to share at this time of year.....

Thanks for sharing it with us and have a Merry Christmas ......

The strong and loving souls of the wonderful Texans left behind by this brave soldier surely lift him up swiftly to the waiting arms of God. A truly inspiring example of what real America believes and honors. This touching tribute to a fallen hero is one of countless reasons I’m so grateful to live in Texas.

"James this is your mom, I know you are in gods great hands because of the baptism I like America witnessed. I will always love you and you will be in my heart. This is the Good Bye I failed to tell you. Much love to Jill and baby Nathaniel those left behind to
carry on your smiling face. God Bless."

The Fallen

Lo, I have stood my watch this day
I have kept our enemy at bay
God and Country I serve, so I swore
For peace today and evermore

A new watch I proudly stand
So glorious and bold, as God took my hand
With shield and armor, I now bear a sword
My comrades and I stand tall with the Lord

My eyes are fixed, my path is sure
My heart and mind so blessed and pure
As my God now dwells with me
My spirit with you will always be

About who we are

My name is Carlos Jones. My wife Kathy and my daughter Ashley and I are committed to honoring the fallen and POW's in operation Enduring Freedom and the Iraqi war with our canvas portraits. Our portraits can last for hundreds of years leaving us with memories that will not be forgotten. I am a Veteran and also a reserve police officer and this is the only way that I can do my part for God and for Country. My wife and I are available 24-7 to talk, to take orders for the fallen, or to support this endeavor any way that we can. We also pray that God willing we may continue serving our Nations heroes from 9/11 but we cannot make this commitment at this time.

DONATIONS ACCEPTED

The voice you hear is from a little girl that lost her father at the WTC which is a small example of what these soldiers stood for.

I never heard of this before now - especially from the "news media"

I sent the link to the web site to our local leftist rag. Maybe they'll look at it and vomit because of their crassness (the media's).

bump...
as a long-time Okie, I just have to be happy living in the reflected glory of Texas
(I mean that sincerely...they are both great places...but Oklahoma just
will never quite reach "nation" status)

"There is something James said to me before he left, says his mother Janie. "He said that the people overseas think we're greedy Americans and that we are greedy - but we're greedy for our freedom and we may be just trying to help other people achieve that freedom that we have."
