BETHLEHEM, West Bank -- As Bethlehem put on its traditional holiday parade with whining bagpipe bands and twirling batons, ghosts of a Christmas future hemmed in by Israel's security barrier were haunting many of the Palestinians in this holy city.

"Israel's security barrier... haunting many of the Palestinians in this holy city."
Many Israeli's are also "haunted" by the spectre of their mothers & daughters blown up by the Palestinian suicide bomber.
The barrier is built with the mortar of Palestinian hatred for all Jews, and their propensity to slaughter innocents to achieve political goals.
No sympathy from this American, even on Christmas Day.

"Don't Convert Bethlehem into a Ghetto."
LOL! The Palestinian Authrority/Arafat has done a very nice job of that, without
any assistance!
They've managed to persecute the Palestinian Christians so much that they
are now only 30%, not 80% of Bethlehem's population.
And tourists (like me) simply won't visit a place run under the Shari'a law
(or anything close to it) if we can avoid it.
These Islamo-wackos can just cry into their beer...if they can afford it!
