Yes. I think a lot more "possible" attacks have been prevented than me have been told. Our government agencies have alot more information then they could ever tell us.
When they are successful in preventing future terrorist acts, we get complacent.
If they were unsuccessful, we'd be criticizing them for failing.
The pressure and tension they deal with almost constantly is intense. We must thank them and appreciate their diligence and hard work. They are unsung, unappreciated heroes every day we do not have a new attack.

I agree. We should be very grateful to those who are working very hard to prent the attacks -- many of which we never hear about.
The reason we haven't had any attacks the past few years, thank God, was not because AQ hasn't been trying, it's because we have been able to prevent and foil those attacks, with enhanced vigilance and a lot of hard work.
