And don't bother with the Democrats.

Bring pressure to bear on the REPUBLICANS. Make them believe they won't get your vote if they support this crap.

I sent my faxes - good link, get the word out. I added the following two paragraphs to one that I selected from the website:

I"f you don't fix the current problems that ignore illegal immigration, you will only be compounding the problem by offering amnesty to those that are already here.

Pandering to the Mexican voters by passing such legislation will backfire in our house, which is made up of South American family members that became citizens legally. "

From the Washington Post article:

Rep. Richard A. Gephardt (Mo.) calls his the Earned Legalization and Family Reunification program. Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman (Conn.) has called immigration reform "another broken promise" by Bush. Former Vermont governor Howard Dean told the Arizona Republic's editorial board that he favors earned legalization for undocumented workers who have been in the country for some time and have committed no crimes, but he sounded a note of skepticism about a guest-worker program like that proposed by McCain.

NOW in reading this.. is Bush proposing THIS as well? What this will mean, imagine what this will bring? ONE Mexican man brings his family ..how many are in HIS family? Multiply that by the millions that NOW are in this country..

HOW is actually advancing this? AND why?

I've written, e-mailed, and faxed. It never seems to do any good. Both major parties in this country seem hell bent on giving the country away.

Just like a scurrilous and conniving politician to attempt floating a piece of offal like this passed the American Citizen in the dead of night, or on a holiday weekend ... generally when the attention of the citizenry can predictably be focused elsewhere. Sneaky b@$#*@&*$.

President George Bush [Mr.Straight-Up] should be ashamed of himself.

...President Bush and Karl Rove-in order to appeal to Hispanic voters-are poised to announce a sweeping amnesty plan during the second week of January...

This is a stinking outrage! Rewarding lawbreakers, tax and welfare cheats with amnesty!

To borrow the words of George Sr, this aggression will NOT STAND!!

"...he wants to match `any willing worker with any willing employer.' "

So is he going to remove the cap on LEGAL immigration that makes people wait for the visa lottery to hit? That's the problem with the current system -- although there may be jobs available for willing foreigners, they can't get them under the immigration cap laws. The ones who can get those jobs are the illegals from Mexico. There are plenty of willing and educated foreigners in Eastern Europe and the Sub-Continent who are willing to legally immigrate to the United States but who can't. Why should the Mexicans get preferencial treatment by coming in illegally?

Pure Rove in action.

Typical political strategy of reaching for the votes you don't yet have - cause, after all, your base has no where to go.

Hard to argue it doesn't have a reasoned logic to it. I mean, after all it worked for ole read my lips George didn't it? Hah!

I am just waiting for someone to suggest we begin selling U.S. citizenship like the Romans used to. It makes far more sense than simply giving it away in exchange for hoped for votes.

Polls consistently show that an overwhelmingly majority of Americans opposes amnesty, wants to stop illegal immigration, and even wants to reduce legal immigration. State legislatures are under intense pressure to raise taxes because there aren't enough schools to accomodate the rapidly growing immigrant population.

Yet Bush and his politically tone-deaf handlers are now proposing to open the floodgates. Country-club Republicans and the big corporations they cater to could care less about the crushing burdens their dream of an open border with Mexico would impose on the American people.

Enough is enough. Conservatives have become to the Republican Party what blacks are to the Democratic Party. We are constantly taken for granted, condescended to, and treated like lepers. Conservatives need to send the GOP a Christmas card: either get with the program or go down in defeat.

Homeland Security has added a BILLION DOLLARS a week to an already bloated spending plan and now wants to "CRADLE TO THE GRAVE" adopt 20 MILLION more Illegal Border Jumping Criminal ILLEGAL ALIENS! If ridge and the Bush Administration cave in to Vincente Fox's Mexican Gambit I am calling for IMPEACHMENT for every member of Congress who votes for this criminal legislation ...Period!

This is the absolute end of the road for the budget busting policies this Administration keeps coming up with. There is a limit to the type of TAXATION we will be obligated to support. I am calling for the end of the Nanny State Politics and Sugar Daddy Taxation that comes with no REPRESENTATION. It is now put up or shut up from here on out. There is simply no end to the ridiculous and oughtright thivery going on at the National Level of our Government.

It is unrealistic for "WE THE PEOPLE" to continue to get jerked around on all this and then be expected to support TAX SUPPORTED Legislation across the board with little or actually NO REPRESENTATION IN CONGRESS. There absolutely has to be a Blue Ribbon Oversight Pannel put in place to stop this evil plan dead in its tracks. The President is apparently getting and giving bad advice and the American people are going to be the worse off for allowing legislation of this kind to proceed. GWB was Govenor of Texas and OUR/MY state requires a balanced budget to operate legaly. It is now very much past time for the Federal Government to be put on a forced Capital Budget and start setting the example this nation needs to become FISCALLY RESPONSIBLE by controlling FEDERAL EXPENDITURES.

The un-controlled federal spending binge we have been on has now become a pronounced severe danger to ur national survival. There is a limit that we have to clamp down with and say this far and no more! Our wastefulness is a National Shame that has got to be ended and we must learn to live within our means and cut out defecit spending before America is totally BANKRUPT physically and with us already morally Bankrupt this spells doom for our Country. These people know exactly what they are doing; they cannot blame ignorance or any such nonsense. Power of this magnatitude in the wrong hands has got to be reigned in and put out of business. This will be the end if "WE THE PEOPLE DO NOT DEMAND A CHANGE"!
