Follow the link to a long article that might be of some interest.

It contains a frightening vision of hell:

There were stacks of rare videos and audio tapes. "'The Real Lincoln' Home Study Program" had been designed for home schoolers and college students. "You read a chapter of Dr. DiLorenzo's groundbreaking book," the man at the booth said, "then you watch this video in which Dr. DiLorenzo goes over the key points and expands his discussion in new and surprising ways. When you're done with this aspect, you turn to our 'Real Lincoln' home workbook." He ran his hand over a cream-colored folder from which Lincoln's face stared out, looking unhappy. "The workbook is where you test and hone your knowledge, with questions prepared especially for that purpose," the man went on. "Then you return to the book, then the video lecture, and back to the workbook. And so on. It's a system," he said, "and we do grant discounts for multiple orders."

"controlled by Big Business, over a Southern culture of farms and small towns that asked only to be let alone."

I got as far as this sentence.

I wonder if this idiot ever heard of the "Trail of Tears", the forced relocation of native americans from the south to Oklahoma? Oh yeah, the tears? Those were shed for those that died because they were not strong enough to complete the trip.

The tears were also for the homes and families that were destroyed by their (the native americans) own government, led by the "southerners".

It seems that we will never learn that "for every action, there is a reaction". What goes around, comes around.

Lincoln aggressively violated the federal Constitution to a tyrant's extent. He deserved to die at War's end for his reckless disregard of the fundamental rights of individuals and of the several states, of those reamining in the Union and those forming the Confederacy.

I see you have gathered “the usual suspects.” Let it never be said that I refused to shine the light of reason and truth upon your benighted ignorance...

”Resolved_, That the several States composing the United States of America, are not united on the principle of unlimited submission to their [Federal] Government; but that, by a compact under the style and title of a Constitution for the United States, and of amendments thereto, they constituted a [Federal] Government for special purposes, -- delegated to that government certain definite powers, reserving, each State to itself, the residuary mass of right to their own self-government; and that whensoever the [Federal] Government assumes undelegated powers, its acts are unauthoritative, void, and of no force; that to this compact each State acceded as a State, and is an integral party, its co-States forming, as to itself, the other party: that the government created by this compact was not made the exclusive or final judge of the extent of the powers delegated to itself; since that would have made its discretion, and not the Constitution, the measure of its powers; but that, as in all other cases of compact among powers having no common judge, each party has an equal right to judge for itself, as well of infractions as of the mode and measure of redress.”

Thomas Jefferson, The Kentucky Resolutions, 1798

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you guys. In my best Tiny Tim voice ---

May God bless everyone.

Even Mr. Scrroge Dr. DiLusional ;~))

BTW. Spend a moment today saying a prayer for the men and women of our armed forces and those of our allies who are now engaged in the second most difficult and dangerous war in our history. God save this Republic --- the last great hope of mankind.

Let old wounds heal. The Civil War was the blackest period of this nation's history. But it's still history. It was the debt in blood we paid for slavery. Ironically, though the North reapped an economic reward for 80 years after the war, it is now the South where much of the economic growth in the US is taking place, while many of the high-tax semi-socialist Northern states stagnate. What goes around, comes around.

If the REALLY swore to uphaold and defend the Constitution of the United States, he wouldn't have been INVENTING Constitutional authority he DIDN'T have.

NOWHERE in the Constitution does it state "The Federal Government shall have the power to prevent secession".

Most of these neo-Confederates hate Mr. Lincoln because he defeated the CSSA (Confederate Slave States of America).

I visited Richmond with my son a couple of years ago. While I have never been a sympathizer with the Confederate cause, I had to admit that the Museum of the Confederacy was one of the finest museums I have been to, in terms of the consistent interest of all its exhibits. The shocking thing though was that for some reason the museum and the adjoining Confederate White House had deeded some surrounding land that they owned to a local university hospital. The hospital then put up a multi-story building that towers over the back of the museum and Jefferson Davis's house. The effect is that these historic buildings are surrounded by this hospital complex, as in The Little House in the Big City. It is totally un-aesthetic and ruins the historic context of the location. I was discussing this with the tour guide in the Confederate White House. She said she thought it was pretty sad. Although I have always considered myself 100% northerner, I had to agree with her.

Lincoln was a traitor to the very constitution that he swore to uphold and defend.

I'm glad that son of a bitch was shot.
