December 24, 2003 -- Rush Limbaugh tore into Florida prosecutors on his radio show yesterday - suggesting they're part of an evil Democratic plot to defeat him "in the court of public opinion." The top-rated conservative talker, furious a judge is letting prosecutors examine his medical records for evidence of "doctor shopping," accused them of smearing his name through unsubstantiated leaks to the media.

When has he ever waited for actual evidence to persecute someone on the airwaves?

Rush has an unbending rule: never persecute anyone without 72 hours notice. You'd know that if you didn't spend so much time at DU.

Earlier this week, Limbaugh's hot-shot lawyer Roy Black pinned the blame for alleged media leaks on a spokesman for the Palm Beach state attorney, claiming, "Our research shows he worked in a number of Democratic campaigns."

VLWC????

Hope he drops this argument. We don't need him taking a lesson from the Hillary Clinton school of denial.

Denial of WHAT... Rush leaking this stuff his own self??? He would be a total certifiable loon to do that. Not even his dearest enemies would consider him that daft.

DU: www.democraticunderground.org

I'm sure he's already well aware of what DUh is, considering his signup date and the fact that of 5 posts made, 4 bash Rush, and the other equivocates Rudi Guiliani with Bill Clinton.

katt, what follows is a Jay-Mo... Just My Opinion.

Take it for what little it's worth.

I only wish Rush the best... this whole sordid affair has Witch Hunt ( or maybe Hush Rush? ) written all over it, and I hope he beats the rap.

Truth be told, while he was a beacon of light during the Clinton darkness, in the last few years I thought he was really getting off his game- all that stuff about golf, his famous friends, moving to Florida- I kind of kept him on as background, but didn't listen like I used to.

Since his troubles, he's gotten much more like the old Rush, and I hope it continues.

Merry Christmas...

Question for all those interested. How many other "doctor shopping" cases have been prosecuted in Florida? How many have had probably millions spent on the investigation? I suspect that, guilty or not, Rush is getting very special, adverse, attention.

Everyone knows that high status political pundits – like politicians themselves – should be above the law. </sarcasm>
