Queen`s corgi killed by Anne`s terrier

LONDON (Reuters) - The Queen is mourning the death of one of her beloved corgis after it was savaged by her daughter`s bull terrier, newspapers report.

Princess Anne`s bull terrier Dottie, which last year earned her a fine by biting two children, attacked the corgi at a royal family gathering at the Sandringham estate on Monday, said the top-selling Sun.

The Daily Mail said the corgi, Pharos, was later put down, having suffered three fractures to one of its hind legs.

Pharos was one of the Queen`s oldest and most devoted pets.

Anne was fined 500 pounds in November last year after Dottie attacked two children, aged seven and 12, in Windsor Great Park near London.

Everyone knows dachshunds rule. I have four miniature longhaired doxies, plus a pitbull/lab who pretends he's part of the gang by lying on the floor and trying to be really small. His early Xmas present is a stuffed cat or squirrel that sings and cracks jokes when chewed. He adores it, and the head doxie has stolen it twice...along with his big beef-basted chewy bone.

Breaking news on this...

Palace sources say Dottie's real target was the Queen herself. She was only saved by the heroic intervention of Pharos. Scotland Yard and MI5 are working on the theory that Dottie is a recent recruit to the shadowy international terrierist organisation Al-Woofa and its political wing *DAGHOWL

Analysis of intelligence sources found in the Buckingham Palace flowerbeds suggest Dottie may have been recruited by the sinister dog Barney during the recent State Visit of US President George W Bush. It's believed he may be a sleeper biding his time for a strike in Washington DC, and the US Secret Service has been warned urgently of this latent threat at the heart of government....[continued on page 365]

are you kidding? I thought it was hysterical!!! If Barney could read he'd be laughing too. Let's not forget "deep cover" "Spot." Merry Christmas to you too! Gather the queen walked into church under her own willpower today...I always try to find a pic of that as it's a nice custom for the public to greet the queen and her family as they go/come from services. My bet is this year Anne kept her mouth shut and was "good, nice, dutiful Anne" rather than her evil twin "Awful Annie."

Meanwhile, CNN is reporting that the vicious Florence has struck again, this time biting a maid.

In background detail, the queen has kept corgis since being given what CNN refers to as "a bitch" for her 18th birthday.
