WOOO-HOOO!!!
My husband and our friends have been bugging me about when I would know where/when the next FReeper cruise was, and lo-and-behold, here it is!! Leni, I assume that as long as we give our deposit, we still are in line for any discounts that get added, since the price kept going lower and lower last year. There's no need to wait to reserve your spot waiting for a lower price, we all get the same discounts, right??

Anyway, looking forward to more specifics as they are posted. Going off to look at the calendar right now!

Much as I hate to say it, don't look for the discount like we had last time. If you go back in your time machine to the time of our last cruise, the bad economy, layoffs, the fear of layoffs, SARS, the Norfolk Virus and other downers just about crippled the travel, tourist and resort industries.

This coming year, with the rebounding economy, the cruise lines just will not be offering such discounts again. The old law of supply and demand, to be sure.

Just start saving your pesos in the sugar bowl, there's lots of time till embarkation day.

Plus, for air travelers, the savings flying into Ft. Lauderdale airport instead of Miami, as we did last time, will save you the equivalent of the discount our group received on FReeps Ahoy 2.

I must go down to the sea again, to the lovely sea and the sky
And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by
And the wheel's kick and the wind's song and the white sail's shaking
And a grey mist on the sea's face and a grey dawn breaking

I must go down to the sea again, for the call of the running tide
Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied
And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying
And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the sea-gulls crying

I must go down to the sea again to the vagrant gypsy life
To the gull's way and the whale's way where the wind's like a whetted knife
And all I ask is a merry yarn from a fellow freeper rover
And sweet dreams and memories when the freeper cruise is over.
