Startling comments IMHO....

"And I would say to the Europeans, I pledge to you as the American president that we’ll consult with you first. You get the right of first refusal on the security concerns that we have. We’ll bring you in."

You should have posted a HURL AlERT!

"CLARK: Of course it’s reckless, Chris. Look, anytime you’re dealing in the intelligence business, you’re getting information that you have to fully vet. Everybody who gives information has a motive. It may be monetary, it may be revenge, it may be they want back in power..."

Oh, ya' mean like those completely bogus reports of genocide in the Serbian/Bosnian tiff, and the completely off intel that caused the bombing of Serb commuter trains, residences, hospitals and the Chi-com embassy?

What a piece of work this crock is.

Clark can be recalled for duty and given a "window seat", no staff, no duties, no window: under the UCMJ.

The dems internal polling must indicate that they haven't got a chance with moderates and independents, so they'd best just troll in the lefty cesspools.

Too bad he forgot the words in his commissioning and each of his promotion oaths. There is no allegiance or recognition of sovereignty to any thing other than the constitution. "...I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, ... and bear true faith and allegiance to the same. So help me God!"

That's how mine read and were repeated; 5 times! Last time I checked, God had not relieved me of that oath.

Think we need to remind him of that in every FREEP we do; In person, in letters to the media, or on line.

"Right of first refusal" in a business context doesn't mean the right to veto something, it means the right to have first crack at something before it's offered to someone else. In a military/diplomatic context I'm not sure what it means, and I'm not sure he does either. It sure sounds like his intention would be to give Europeans veto power over U.S. military action.

While smoking crack with Coward Dean, Weasely Clark inferred that he was the best candidate for whatever reason.

I have a chance to win!

A snowball's chance in hell is looking much more possible, and after all, who has more experience than I? declared Dean.

Dean later declared that he would clean up polution on Mars left by the Klingons.

He's toast. The boy's cheese done slipped off his cracker.

What a great line. How about telling us where you picked that one up. If it's an original, you should take up writing.

I think that it is very significant as well. I'm glad you posted. I think that it's been missed by the media-- conservative and liberal.

It's bad enough Clark thinks this, but to say it out loud in front of a national audience is lunacy.

"Europeans" does not mean "Europeans."

It does not mean Britain, Holland, Poland, etc.

It is a somewhat-encoded word for France, and maybe Germany too.

Most of the Democrats are running this year on a policy plank to give Paris more money and power.

What the heck does right to first refusal mean?Right to be the first to disagree, refuse to help, refuse support in NATO?,refuse to support in UN?I don't think he even knows what he means.

He means ,I assume, that we will consult first with them, but does he mean if they refuse,we don't do what is in our best interest?Do they get veto power over US policy?

What a strange man he is.Scary

That settles it... 1) He really is a democrat and 2) he does not have what it takes to be President of the United States.

I cannot believe this hasn't been out in the press more... I'm sure it will come up in a debate if (huge IF) he gets the nomination...

"What a great line. How about telling us where you picked that one up."

It's a phrase I heard somewhere, and I've always thought it funny.

"If it's an original, you should take up writing."

Thanks. I am a budding writer, and appreciate the encouragement.
