:.."ALOHA RONNIE" Guyer / Vet-"WE WERE SOLDIERS" Vet-Battle of IA DRANG-1965 I've followed some of your posts and checked out some of the links you've provided in the past. I will never forget.
My son is a member of the corp of cadets at Texas A&M. He has decided to pursue a career (at least to start) as a Marine Infantry officer. He knows what you guys did and honors you every day in what he does now.
(this is my world view) The battle of Vietnam was not a war in and of itself. It was a significant battle in the 70 years war against Soviet Communism, which we won. The sacrifices made in that battle will be recognized for their significant contribution to world peace in time. My main interest in the current political season is the growing likelyhood that the "conventional wisdom" about Vietnam will be up for re-examination after brothers Dean and Kerry get done mouthing off about the current situation.

My husband and I went to see "Return of the King" with a bunch of my in-laws (12 altogether) last night, and I was surprised to see the trailer for "The Passion of the Christ". It looks like it's going to be a really good movie.
I've showed the trailer (on the internet) to a couple of co-workers and they are really eager to see the movie as well.

Aloha Phsstpok...
...GOD does indeed seem to work His Miracles in some very Loving Ways..?
...I have been ever so stunned this year, 38 years after my being at the 1st Major Battle for FREEDOM of the Vietnam War in 1965, to hear a President of the United States BUSH actually promise FREEDOM's return to:
Communist Vietnam
Communist Cuba
Communist N. Korea
and FREEDOM's Arrival to:
All the countries of the Middle of the Middle East...
as our own best Self-Defense against future Terrorist Attacks here at Home.
Truly amazing times these..?
Please thank your son for his Focus of CLARITY on our behalf in a new Time of War in a new Century.
I appreciate your taking the time to read some of my online references.

The name is important, as it will become the highest grossing movie worldwide ever made. I'm sure it'll be a fine film, but you're dreaming if you think it's going to be the highest grossing movie ever.

IIRC, "ho christos" is Greek for "the Anointed One". Using the term "THE Christ" is the same as saying "THE Messiah".

I'm sure the left is planning massive anti-Christian protests. We must all hold the line and defend the religion of Christianity, no matter what branch. The stakes are too high for us to fail now.

Anyone know if this will be shown up here in Canada? Many of you mention the trailer before ROTK, but I didn't see it up here, hope this doesn't mean they won't show it here :(

RE #47;
Great point you make there; The left does NOT want America (or anyone else for that matter) seeing this flick, and you well may be right about moviegoers being confronted by picket lines of leftist goons trying to intimidate them.
Look for lots of flat tires and other such vandalism in the parking lots if the audience does make it into the theaters.
And don't be surprised if a few theaters showing the "Passion" are singled out for terrorist - type attack.
Don't expect old Beelzebub and his minions to take this sitting down / quietly.
Those of us with CWPs will be attending under arms - but a few may well be meeting our Lord in person before the credits run. Look for the threats to start getting air time by the middle of next month.
Curtain time for this whole bloody show, I opine, draweth nigh.
Popcorn, anyone?

It's the ultimate scenario I'm afraid for the ragheads and commies. It's up to us to decide: courage or cowardice. Let your own individual passion for Christ decide your path.

Amen!
When I go to see this movie, as I hope to do, I will plan on doing a few things we don't normally do at the Theater.
I will be sure to take a Bible with me.
There will be non-believers who are going to be brought under conviction by this movie, and thirsting mightilly for the Spirit and the Truth when they come out.
I am anticipating that the Cults will be right there in the lobby waiting for them, too.
But if God so moves one lost attendee to be open to the Gospel that night, let's have it handy, shall we?
Since the original languages will be used and I'm not sure if subtitles are going to be featured or not - some may be curious as to what's going on, and if they see someone sitting there with a Bible just might ask.
Opportunity for wittness?
You betcha!
And PRAY in that lobby before going into the theater - collectively if coming in a group - that the Holy spirit bind Satan from blinding hearts or stealing precious Souls away or perverting the message of the film, and that Souls be brought under conviction to be healed and transformed as they discover and accept the Saviour Yeshuah (Jesus) revealed in this unique portrayal of Scripture.
It is the Gospel of Christ that saves, don't we know - and none of our own doing. But if what is being said about this movie's adherance to the Gospel Truth is correct, then it is, in a way, a portion of Scripture in the form of a modern communications media for those who might never consider opening a Bible.
Some Evangelical Churches might want to consider opening up as the local movie houses let out, so that any who wanted to stick around after the show and discuss things, ask questions... or get saved... might have a place to be invited to go for light refreshments, warm reception, and open discussion.
I just hope that the Church groups follow the Spirit's lead, go easy on the rhetoric, and keep an open Bible, mind, and heart as we seek His Will and move at His Command.
This could be big.... very big.
Let's not blow it, Body of Christ.
Amen?

How timely; coming out on Ash Wednesday. It will be great for folks to see this during Lent to contemplate on our complicity in Christ's death.
