She was Dick Van Dyke's wife on the "New Dick Van Dyke show," and was also in "Death Wish."

"The Ghost and Mrs. Muir"

That was one of my favorite shows when I was a kid. RIP, Hope Lange.

Seems to me this woman said some anti-American stuff last year or late the year before overseas. Something about being ashamed to be an American (said in France, I believe).

Connected with the WOT.

I remember Edward Mulhare as "The Captain" on The Ghost and Mrs. Muir. To show how much TV has changed, I remember the reticent but assertive Mrs. Muir repeatedly admonishing the captain about his language -- presumably picked up from his years at sea. His favorite epithet was "Blast!" pronounced with that New English accent that renders it more like "Blahhhhst!"

And I thought Hope Lange was a beauty even then.

A sweet classy blonde. One of a group of non-sexbomb type blonde-haired actresses, like Deborah Kerr, who I categorize as "The Lambs". Completely womanly without ever being coquettish.

The night before David Brinkley was announced dead, I'm up late on the internet doing google searches on him due to a strange urge to dig up all I could find on Mr. Brinkley. No rhyme or reason. The urge just struck me.

Last night, I asked my wife if Hope Lange was the mother in the TV version of Please Don't Eat the Daisies. After our conversation, I'm up late doing google and IMDB searches on Hope Lange. Same urge to dig up everything I can find on Hope Lange.

What's the correct spelling for Osama?

I remember her cast opposite Dick Van Dyke in his short-lived sitcom that came soon after the Dick Van Dyke Show.
