Well said. Especially in matters of Bible prophesy, some here are trying to insinuate that Schofield is some kind of heretical nutcase.
I've long studied the dispensational works of Schofield, Larkin, Ryrie, DeHaan, Chafer, Pentecost, ect...and these dear men of God believed strongly and lovingly in the foremost doctrines of Christianity. They simply believe in a "rapture," and the other folks don't.
For the life of me, I don't know why so much name calling takes place among Christians. Believe as you like, but no one can claim to have sole authority in the interpretation of God's Word.

You should read the article that Zipporah linked. It was quite a shocker to me.

Oh my! The Scofield Standard Reference Bible I use is filled with my marginal notes. Am I also in peril? ... Here's one particular section to which I've linked many other verses:
1TH 4:13 Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. 14 We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 15 According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage each other with these words.
Sure sounds like a Rapture to me! This thread reminds me of the chiding I received last Christmas at FR, when I had the audacity to assert that Mary was not raped by God, that Mary had the free will to refuse but to our great blessing she volunteered to receive The Christ, that God knew her heart before He sent the Angel to her ... God Bless the Mother of Christ for she chose Life, that we may have eternal blessing through her beatification (is that the right word?... squabbling sows (sews) so much confusion ...)

If you were referring to me, I was not 'name calling'.. if you are saying so, then you've misread what I've posted. There are heretical nuts (your phrase) out there ...always have been.. scripture tells us to beware of 'every wind of doctrine' .. and when interpertation supercedes 2,000 years of doctrine, it's time to examine that interpertation throughly and prayerfully..
