Well it's much more efficient than just saying "Be Vigilent"

Oh good. I was running out of yellow highlighter for my calendar. What color do we get to go to next? I'm sorry but this does nothing to affect the daily lives of the citizens of the respective states
To: RobFromGa
Screw you, you don't sound like a Pubbie. You sound like a punk. And you sound like a jackboot licking toady. Ridge did, in fact, call for amnesty for illegals. And he is behind the freedom-robbing "Patriot" Acts. Read my tag line if you don't understand the cost of eroding freedom at home. The homeland becomes "almost" worth defending. Maybe. If it pays well. I'll get back to you with my decision.

I'm sorry but this does nothing to affect the daily lives of the citizens of the respective states. I'm pretty sure that this means that they put up the anti-terrorist traffic cones in the company parking lot.

It means that your female relatives do not travel in the same circles as my nieces. LOL!Naw, it means they grew up in rural northern Wisconsin, where deer hunting is a late fall ritual. They also wear perfume--but NOT in the woods.

Add me to the list that doesn't find elevated terror chatter and threats- hilarious.Regardless of the messenger. Perhaps then we should be looking for a less-buffoonish messenger.

You're right about ALL illegals. How many of these terrorist attacks have been perpetrated by illegals from south of the border (read: Mexicans)?
Oh, that's right, none of them. Well, let's get rid of them all anyway.

I don't know why you think this is so funny. Chill out. I'm flying from Denver to Pittsburgh on Christmas Eve and have to make a connection through Washington Dulles. Humor is used to break tension for some people. Just pray that we never have to go to "Elmo".

it does indeed, if you lived here in NYC, it makes it much harder to travel. checkpoints on bridges and tunnels create big traffic tie-ups. travel at airports will likely be slower also.
To: eno_
I do not find Tom Ridge buffoonish. He is a serious person who has served this country in the Viet Nam war and was a very able governor of Pennsylvania.
What are YOUR credentials?

Personally I have been on TL orange since 911. It doest stop me from living my life, but I have both eyes open.

I don't know about you, but I am getting really tired of people mocking Tom Ridge and Homeland Security.I'm tired of it. And I don't like people calling it Elmo and Ernie, but if that is their way of dealing with a serious issue ok. If they are doing it to mock our security and make us appear weak, then it disgusts me.
This stuff is dead serious and I for one am sure that they would not want to raise the level if they didn't think that Security needed to be on higher guard than "normal".
They want us to do everything we planned to do, just keep an eye out for things abnormal. On the other hand, the police, etc have many more issues to deal with (I know, I've talked with them and procedures change). These levels are mainly directed at them. It sets out a clear expectation and can be communicated nationwide immediately. Everyone gets it and can react to it.

The real reason is that they are Johhny-One-Notes, who are angry at Mr. Ridge for not machine-gunning those (brown-skinned) women and children at the (Southern) border.Large numbers of Middle Easterners have been noted crossing the Mexican border over the last several years.
But I guess you don't worry about that, either.
It's strange how yesterday you didn't object to a cop shooting an unarmed American citizen in the back of the head, but it's okay with you if millions of illegal immigrants pour over our borders.
To: mylife
one thing confuses me: if indeed the "attack" is a suicide bombing(s) at shopping malls, the peak xmas period is ending today. when were they going to conduct this attack, in the middle of the day on a tuesday, or on the weekend before xmas when the malls are packed?
