Should be pretty hard for Al Qaeda to pull off anything here after the post 9-11 deportation of all muslim aliens, and with new muslims barred from entering the USA. </common sense wishful thinking)

Yes I am. However I have been a lurker for awhile. I have been watching the threads about this particular subject since October and was not at all suprised by today's announcements. However, I did wonder what took them so long, the Freepers knew about this stuff weeks ago.

great post ... yes that's it ... post it some more on other threads ... a previous co-worker told me that he and another guy (they are not muslim nor anti-Israel) got invited to a "student meeting" at University of Kansas in Lawrence about 15 years ago ... so they went ... found it to be an Islamic anti-Israel group ... so they booked outta there P.D.Q. ...

Thanks!

That's the Steve Emerson Jihad in America map I was looking for.

It shows what a daunting task law enforcement has to try to prevent attacks, with so many terrorists already in the US, who have been here for years.

plutoinic/megatn(a)/((-)(-))

Plutonium is used in some nuclear bombs.

Megaton is a way of measuring the strength of a nuclear explosion. I think it comes from it would be equivalent to the amount of TNT, e.g, it would take 1 Megaton (1,000,000 tons) of TNT to cause the equivalent explosion of a "1 Megaton" nuclear bomb.

Yes, the Freepers have been posting and talking about the messages from that Deleel or whatever his name is for a few weeks. I did not mean Freepers had intel that nobody else had. I meant FR was talking about this stuff from Debka and NEI before the media put it out to the average sheeple.

I think that link has already been posted on this thread, but if anyone missed it, here it is -- a lot of info there.

Nothing terrorist originated will have a yield over ~40 kilotons (Kt), and that would be a long shot in hell in and of itself...

Megatonnage (Mt) is indicative of thermonuclear weapons, the biggest purely fission weapon was a few hundred Kt yield.

Simple, that would mean violating their "civil rights". You will notice the strong correlation of those on this thread that think this alert is "much ado about nothing" with their paranoiac rantings about the Patriot Act. When the Feds actually try to prevent these attacks they go into spasms of reflexive cries of police state. It takes hypocrisy to heights never seen before in this country.

Any nuclear bomb exploded in a US city can cause tremendous damage in property and lives.

Gee, so it won't be worse than Hirshima!

Yield

The first parameter to establish is the explosive yield of the device. Based on the various media reports and articles I have examined, the alleged nuclear "backpacks" or "suitcases" would appear to be in the one to ten kiloton range.

As a benchmark, the uranium fission bomb dropped on Hiroshima was just over ten kilotons. However, the majority of the articles tend towards the lowest figure of one kiloton and that is the number I will assume.

Did that muslim woman ever have her case decided one way or another to allow her to wear her veil in her DMV picture? Now that was the dumbest request for civil rights I had ever heard of.
