I guess we should have seen coming the Jesse Jacksons of Islam. No minority group is complete without a few hustlers out there reaffirming victim status and leading the faithful toward the political left.

Nowhere in this guy's screed is there a word about the one thing that American Muslims could do to minimize this sort of very understandable foul wind blowing in their direction. Instead of all this "woe is us" crap followed by news of yet another terrorist cell busted while living amongst them, they could start turning these clowns in. They could be the first ones on the horn to the FBI when three sleazy characters from Yemen move into the neighborhood and who, while holding down no sort of job, proceed to acquire automobiles and to fly around the country.

They could also be a lot louder about condeming these supposedly "marginal" elements in Islam. If they're so damned marginal, then why are we hearing all these excuses for them?

Somehow, the Japanese went from being rounded up and sent to internment camps, to full participation in the American political and economic system. I don't recall that having much to do with Japanese Jesse Jacksons running around crabbing about victim status, and it sure as hell had nothing to do with making excuses for Tojo.
