Thanks for reminding us on conditions in Sudan. They have not changed much since this boy was kidnapped. Nat Hentoff wrote a piece a couple of years ago retelling stories of forced marches where mothers had to watch their infants be nailed to trees with spikes. Gruesome.

Sounds a lot like what the Turks did to the Greeks and Serbs when they took control of those areas in the 14th and 15th centuries. In fact.... it sounds like what they did to the Armenians and the Pontic Greeks in the 20th century.
