With a republican congress and elections in 1996, Clinton was forced to take some centrist positions reluctantly, like welfare reform and balancing the budget. If he had his way he would be to the left Dean!

Clinton was forced to take more centrist positions just to win in '92 - narrowly and thanks to Perot.

His true colors (and those of shrillery's) appeared with the gay policy and socialized health care proposal right after that. These guys run centrist and once in, do whatever they can to take the country to the left.

Slick Bill is as centrist as Marx.
