I doubt Kwaanza is widely celebrated nor will it ever be. But this won't stop the major media from hyping it.

Yep. The only blacks I've ever seen celebrating Kwaanza have been on the human interest part of the TV news.

Being black myself, I don't know a single middle or upper class black person who celebrates it. From the looks of the folks shown on TV, they appear to be of the lower classes.

Thanks. You would know a lot better than me. Bottom line is Karenga is a nutcase who cobbled together a black nationalist type holiday. Black people can be Christian Muslim and Jew, each religion has plenty of holidays and holy days.

I was under the impression that most Kwanzaa celebrations were arranged by stocky white lesbians at Unitarian churches. ;D
