Walt Wadsworth has cared for, operated and devoted his life to the Johnstown Inclined Plane for almost four decades.
When he thought about giving up his post years ago, fates intervened -- a strike wiped out his new job at a steel mill.

The only reason Johnstown 'thrives' today is their Congressman Murtha who brings in millions and millions of dollars in defense contract money into the area. Often times the only way a project gets approval is if certain money is spent in Johnstown. The only things of interest in Johnstown is the incline plain and the flood museum.

I went to college at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh - loved going with dates on the Incline - after having dinner or a beer at the top, seeing the city on the way down was a sure fire heart warmer. Many a date I still remember :)

Looks like there's no problem with cars driving off once they get to the bottom.
But I sure hope Alfred E. Newman gets outa the way before he gets run over.
(I have absolutely no idea why that little dude keeps doing a flip-flop with the incline picture that I posted. It's strange.
