Although some posters continue to treat religious conservatives as if they were ignorant primatives who deserve to be locked up for the "hateful" attitudes, religious folk continue to be at the core of Republican and conservative success in our country. The Republican Party can ignore them at their own risk.

Just as the enviromentalism has become a religion unto itself, the Democrats are making Socialism their religion.

With the evangelicals bearing fruit, the dims have no choice but go after the evangelicals, even to changing the party's name or changing to a third party to maintain the vulgar two-party myth...

Divide and conquer has always been the Communist/Liberal/Leftist/Hate America/Democratic Parties mantra. Notice how the VLWC press has attacked Catholicism, the Boy Scouts/The sanctity of marraige and the values of the evangelicals. It's very clear to anyone that ever picks up the Bible that Democrats have no historic credibility or Christian pedigree. On the contrary we can directly link them to satan, moloch, philistines and the nazi party.
Right now the Almighty is shifting His people like wheat sorting them into bundles either for eternal life or the fire, IMHO!
Merry Christmas and Maranatha,

An excellent post. So much here to comment on.
"Marcus Welty, a researcher with the National Council of Churches, said mainline Protestants may not equal the numbers of their Evangelical counterparts, and their members may not be as churchgoing, but they do lead religious lives demonstrated by their volunteering for causes like reducing poverty and championing certain issues in communities"
How can they be mainline if there are less of them, and they don't even go to church? But they are religious anyway because they feed the poor. Well, athiests do that.
What an admission your organization stands for nothing.

Marcus Welty, a researcher with the National Council of Churches, said mainline Protestants may not equal the numbers of their Evangelical counterparts, and their members may not be as churchgoing, but they do lead religious lives demonstrated by their volunteering for causes like reducing poverty and championing certain issues in communities. Yeah, they're for abortion on demand at public expense.
