You see, you make the same mistake which all ideologues do. They confuse a relative good with an absolute one.

Oh, yeah? Browne is the professional financial advisor who filed for bankruptcy. That's doing something.

On the top ten list of fools, certainly Harry the Clowne Brown is near the top, perhpas only Jimmy Carter and Ramsay Clark edge him out of the top spot.

Except Carter and Clark don't pretend to be conservative.

They confuse a relative good with an absolute one.

Quite similar to the ideologues who attempt to impose what they call 'morality' on innocents.

I'm talking Zero-Tolerance anti-drug and anti-violence programs, sunshine.

Ring any ideological bells?

Harry Browne should be studied in colleges through out the world...a political science primer on how to NEVER get elected to ANYTHING by being stupid, absurd, and inane.

"Why is this crap continually allowed on here?"

Why shouldn't it be, my FRiend?! I consider myself to be a little "l" libertarian, but I'm as embarrassed by Harry Browne's non-sensical rantings vis a vis foreign policy as anybody. Isn't it best that folks get access to the other side, if for no other reason than to see it for the nonsense that it is?!

3,000 people died on September 11, including a lot of "sons". Perhaps you missed it.

Taking your pre-emptive "they are oppressed so we should liberate them" policy to its natural conclusion means invading all of those other countries. Why is freedom for Iraq more important than freedom for them? Why shouldn't we liberate the people of all arab/communist dictatorships?
If it's worth our blood in Iraq, why not Cuba, Syria, Iran, etc? Do you have an answer?

Not one hijacker was an Iraqi. Perhaps you missed it. If we wanted to attack someone, it should definately have been the terrorist government of Saudi Arabia...but I believe I saw Bush HUGGING the towelhead leaders of that country a few months ago... allies?

I suppose that if you saw 3 old ladies being mugged and had the opportuntiy to help one of them, you'd just pass on by. Better to have all 3 old ladies be victimized when you could have only helped one of them at a time, right?

In other words: Your argument is a joke.

It's rather apparent you either don't pay any attention to the news of the day and comment on issues anyway, or you are simply chosing to not be truthful. In either case, our discussion is over. There's no use in engaging in dialogue with people who refuse to use either facts or common sense to back up what they are saying. Good day.

WE all know your constitutionalist sewage too well. You spew it like a perpetual case of diahrrea.

You have to actually make sense as well if you wish to sway people into believing your rhetoric and so far, your argument is at best, comical.

All I can gather from your rants is you are determined to cut your nose off because your face is not happy.

There's nothing wrong with so-called 'safety nets'

Of course there's something wrong with them.

Just another reason I can't take libertarians seriously

Please do not confuse small-l libertarians, such as those in the Republican Liberty Caucus with the fruitcakes in the LP. Of course, the FR nanny-state crowd dislikes us almost as much.

The structure for such a 'FR Party' exists inside the GOP..
Some time ago JR tried to spark some interest by creating & endorsing a separate forum for the RLC position.

Obviously, the libertarian haters on this site would rather trash our constitution than work with us in its restoration.
