"Has anyone told him that Clinton's been porking Jody Foster?"
First question: Which Clinton?
Second question: Did they remember to tell John-Boy about Judge Friedman and Jody, as well?
Third question: Will the judge let Hinckley carve the turkey at the holiday reception he's holding at his house to celebrate the new-found freedom he's granted unto John-Boy?

Wanting to murder somebody IS a mental illness. So, guess we'll just have to let all the murderers out unsupervised. You know that's not what I meant. There are people who have real diseases of the mind.

There are people who have real diseases of the mind. Attempting to murder the president (ANY PRESIDENT!) should carry life in prison, regardless of mental capacity.
Perhaps he'll slip up and the Secret Service can finish the job this time.

And she had bought a bio of Jodie Foster for him. What a sweet present, huh? The story was that he was trying to impress Jodie Foster by killing a politician, just like De Niro in Taxi driver, but for some reason I always thought the De Niro character was trying to impress the Cybill Shepard character. I know it's trivial now and I think I'm probably alone in thinking that.

Perhaps he'll slip up and the Secret Service can finish the job this time.Yep and the secret service is still bound to protect President Reagan its never been off their list of [to do's] there not inclind to cheafer him around but they are bound to watch him under a close eye of scrutiny!
I think a few strategicly placed posters and bill boards of Jody Foster on his trip to his parents home would do the trick !
I just wonder how an 80 year old couple {His Parents}are supposed to keep him under supervision ?
I Hope mom and dads armed if he decides to go off on them in some way i hope they dont hesistate to releive himself of his own misery.!!

John Hinckley is an angry sociopath it is evident in his countenance; he has the un-mistakable "LOOK". Somber, sullen no smile evident, appears to be a seething mass of hate! Whoever let him loose and unsupervised needs to rejoin him in maximum security;he never should see the light of Freedom ever!

That's what Malvo's attorneys are claiming. Right, and it's nuts. Which is why I simply said that IF Hinckley was in fact really sick, and IF in fact he is cured, then I am glad for him.

Damn good idea!

His parents, believe it or not, are supposed to return him to the hospital if he demonstrates any signs of being disturbed or violates the rules--AND are supposed to fill out reports about his visits. If you can believe that they'll do that and not lie to cover up for their baby boy, I have a few bridges to sell you. Before I read your post I had just said to my husband that if he hurts somebody else his parents will also be culpable.
I, too, hope this is appealed immediately. It is outrageous.

Why should "mental illness" give you a pass on violent assault with intent to murder resulting in severe injury to the victims?
Remember all pedophiles are by "psychiatric criteria" mentally ill.All people should be held responsible for their actions.
To: meanie monster
Get one immediately and learn how to use it.
A gun is real protection not something meaningless like a restraining order. The document might be of some help if you or your husband actually have to shoot him though.
To: X-FID
Travis Bickle was trying to either impress or punish Cybill Shepard's character as I remember it.He was trying to "save" Jodie foster's character. She was a 12 or 13 yo street prostitute He was intereasted in adult women (Cybill Shepard)

Sarah Brady did appeal to the Judge to disallow Hinckley any unsupervised visits. Clearly her wishes were ignored. I saw that later, I'm actually somewhat surprised. But on reflection: She was a Republican at one time, so maybe she still has the notion of personal responsibility buried down inside somewhere. She just went ape over guns after her husband was shot. Maybe it's too bad that instead of wrestling Hinkley to the ground, the Secret Service agents didn't shoot his sorry a$$. That might have focused her mind on the criminal instead of the gun.

Hillary Rodham Clinton's longtime relationship with Jody Foster should not be exposed to public ridicule.
They are entitled to some privacy.
Have you no shame?

What Bad Timing.
What if Hinkley was brainwashed to attack
President Reagan, and responded to a brainwashing
trigger?
Is the "trigger" still able to work
and will Hinkley respond?
