neil's divorce scandals might reveal more about this dinner, or the upcoming best selling book that neil's ex-wife Sharon will write...she certainly could shed some light on the dinners with Hinkley's family and the bush family 'arrangements' with the Hinkley family....it'd be great if she'd talk....America needs you, Sharon...STAND UP and tell us the truth about your ex, neil bush, the thief of the Silverado Savings and Loans....

all some posters were saying is that the hinkleys and the bush pere are friends. there could have been gentle persuasion to spring johnny for the weekend, no?

. . .largely treated? No exact science here for certain. Seems to me; if nothing else; he did know 'right' from 'wrong'. . .but that said, do not think anyone can say unequivically that he is not a danger.

Think he should be confined no matter, he committed a heinous act and jeopardized an entire nation; and without a doubt, his act surely damaged more than one 'lifetime'.

We can say, 'sad'. . .very 'sad'; but that does not change the culpability here or responsibility for doing the time.

Had Hinckley ever apologised for what he did?

Will his parents be able to guarantee that he will be okay while he is with them. They are now in their eighties, I believe. So don't think so.

He has to stay in a 50 mile radius of DC, and have overnight visits with his parents, according to Pete Williams.

This guy tried to kill the president. We can trust him to follow the rules.

He will be supervised by his parents. Does anyone really believe they will report him if he does NOT take his medicine as ordered.

Does anyone really believe they will report him if they feel he is not following the strictures of the court.

Why should we as taxpayers foot the bill for the secret service to keep him under surveillance. Let his parents pay for the 'watching'.

If you read the decision and order in my post #101, your head will blow up, as mine did.

His parents, believe it or not, are supposed to return him to the hospital if he demonstrates any signs of being disturbed or violates the rules--AND are supposed to fill out reports about his visits. If you can believe that they'll do that and not lie to cover up for their baby boy, I have a few bridges to sell you.

Sarah Brady did appeal to the Judge to disallow Hinckley any unsupervised visits. Clearly her wishes were ignored.

I'm not sure if I saw it on the local news or read it (DC) but something came up during the hearing about Hinkley's hospital girlfriend and some literature in her possession on Jody Foster.

Oh, the judge, in his decision, says that Hinckley and his girlfriend of 16 years can't have any contact.

But Hinckley claimed they broke up--even though they have daily contact.

And she had bought a bio of Jodie Foster for him. What a sweet present, huh?

This latest adventure in juris(im)prudence has the potential for a bad outcome, to say the least, and is ill-advised, IMO.......
