Some good sayings by my mom: "You're gonna put your eye out with that!" "If_______jumped off a bridge, would you?" "It's as easy to fall in love with a rich man as a poor man." (words I didn't heed...:) And the best one of all, heard many times over the years from both of them "I love you."

Very nice!

I wouldn't trade those days for anything. Growing up in the country, we had to make our own fun. Some of it was spent listening to the radio, or in front of the TV.

It seems like anyone born in the late 50s has been subjected to it all, the innocence and the not so innocent.

Music was a big part of it. We went from Paul and Paula, to Elvis, the Turtles, Lesley Gore, Sonny and Cher, the Supremes, the Beatles, the Monkees, the Beach Boys, the Doors, the Osmonds, Alice Cooper, the Cowsills, Led Zepplin, the Carpenters, Pink Floyd, the Partridge Family, Crosby, Stills and Nash...

Movies and tv as well.... Dragnet, Laugh In, the Patty Duke Show, the Group, Gidget, Andy Griffith, Bob and Carol and Tedd and Alice, HeeHaw, Peyton Place, Shindig, Valley of the Dolls....

We were subjected to it all..... but I guess it all probably made us stronger in our beliefs.
