And countless rank-and-file immigration enforcement officers have written to express disgust at Washington's bipartisan talk of "amnesty" for millions of immigration law-breakers whose presence makes a mockery of homeland defense. What good is it, they wonder, to send American soldiers to defend other countries' borders if we're not willing to defend our own? As high as the Bush Admin. is riding, they had better wake up to reality here. People are (over 90% in today's Lou Dobbs CNN poll) extremely upset about their border policy. This and the presence of Islamists in the WH are ticking bombs.

From homeland security personnel, I continue to hear open-borders horror stories.

Can you believe that trial ballon he just floated the other day? Every poll I've seen indicated severe opposition to amnesty for illegals.
But that doesn't mean anything. Nobody wanted campaign finance reform, and we got that shoved down our throats.

Can you believe I also couldn't believe our Beloved Leader would try to give 15b to African Dictators under the cover of a bogus AIDS project, scrap school vouchers in favor of Ted Kennedy's "no child left behind" BS, trash the Constitution by signing CFR, implement a part of HillaryCare Socialized Medicine as his pill program, lift registration of people entering from terrorist nations, etc., etc., etc., BUT HE DID IT!

What good is it, they wonder, to send American soldiers to defend other countries' borders if we're not willing to defend our own? This is really my objection to the War on Terror; it seems priorities are horribly misplaced, as Malkin so nicely summarized.

All I said to ovrtaxt was, "I thought you should know."
Would you say that to someone's husband face-to-face? If you would, then ignore my comment.
