Diane Sawyer is a miserable BITCH! President Bush was magnificent -- I adore this man.

And the poster was right about the editing. Very choppy and disjointed. My husband and I noticed this also... very bad editing job.

...and am thinking that Diane S. deserves some very detailed, to the point, crushing emails from everyone who understands a hatchet job from a disrespectful jerk when he or she sees and hears one. An email to the president of ABC news would be in order, as well.Funny, that's just what I was about to do!! I hope all the others that watched this will do the same.

Not a speech writer but a press aide. She's also rumored to be one of the possible "deep throats" . . . No I mean in the Watergate scandal!!!

Yes, I watched GMA yesterday morning. She and Charlie seemed very happy about SH's capture. And then they had on 2 soldiers from 4ID, and it was so moving. They had surprised one of the soldiers by having his mother and wife on the telephone, and assured the other soldier they were still trying to get through to his family so he could talk.
And even when the clip was ended, they told the soldier and his family to keep on talking. It was so sweet. THAT is the Diane I know and like. Tonight she seemed almost bitchy to GW. I'm disappointed in her attitude. You can ask tough, probing questions, that is expected. But this was not her best work.
To: Wait4Truth
That's fine. I wasn't trying to put our fine President down, I really do have immense affection for him and a ton of admiration too. Just expressing my perceptions, and truly hoping that most people see it your way.

Send an email to ABC and let them know how you feel. Freeper Republic and I are about to do just that.

Thanks to everyone on this thread-I missed this interview and truthfully, after reading the reviews of it posted here as it was being presented, I am glad I did not.Although the posters on this thread give the impression that Diane Sawyer was harsh, we don't give a good enough impression that GWB handled the interview well.
Except for the moments regarding the search for WMDs, where GWB seemed to be a bit perturbed by Sawyer's constant and persistent nagging, he was very much in command of both himself and Sawyer during most of the interview.
To: AlbionGirl
"that he probably sees ABC as another 'reality' tv show," Wow, that sounds positively, reflexively, defensive. I hope you're not wearing high-heeled black pumps!
To: baseballmom
She has to be bitchy. She has to maintain her journalistic street cred.

Commercial during the program that is now airing.
I am still not detecting the attitude in Sawyer others seem to have found in tonight's interview. I also am astounded at the comments from some about her "inappropriate" suit and shoes. Since when are heels with a skirted suit inappropriate? They aren't slingbacks.
I'll keep watching. My history of posting can attest that I have lodged many a complaint against the media, but I am not having a huge problem with this interview---so far. Just back and she asks about WMD with the premise that "Kay hasn't found WMD". I do have a problem with her premise. However, the fact that the president is ably responding is terrific and enhances the case.

I will never forget Inauguration Day.Nor will I
Truly one of the greatest moments of my life. Standing in the rain, watching this good and decent man take the oath of office ranks as one of the most significant days of my life.
May we all be blessed with another four years of GWB!

Trivia / Vanity question (very trivial, actually) on behalf of Mrs. Sooner: Does Spot live at the WhiteHouse or does Spot guard the house in Crawford? Barney was in the program but Spot wasn't. What's the deal?
Thanks for letting us post a very trivial question from a (Republican) dog lover.

Although the posters on this thread give the impression that Diane Sawyer was harsh, we don't give a good enough impression that GWB handled the interview well. Exactly. I am viewing the WMD exchange right now, and he is animated and very much telling the American people we were RIGHT to do what we have done. Too much emphasis against Sawyer and not enough focus on GWB answering the questions/assertions.

Watching the taped interview now (MST). Followed the first couple of hundred post in this thread waiting for it to air on my local station...but after watching this for a half hour....the producer gets fired and me thinks DS might be sent to Duluth, MN to cover the local news beat. She had the chance and it looks to me like she blew it. Just my 2 pennies.

I really liked when he just hammered home that newspapers are biased. She never disputed that. Newspaper people around the country could hear their circulation numbers dropping.
