And, get this... she is wearing 'F-me' pumps, AT HER AGE (58?)

So utterly true, and the arrogance of her tone....
The best thing he said at the end was his comment about T.V....
"We don't have time for TV that much."
Now that is a stab to Diane's heart!!

Well, I like the shoes and I have not been put off by her demeanor as some evidently have been by this interview. I don't see a problem at this point.
(And believe me, I've had my moments of annoyance with Diane Sawyer)

Born and raised in Kentucky, Sawyer followed in her older sister's wake, participating in beauty pageants. In 1963, she was crowned America's Junior Miss, earning a scholarship that allowed her to attend Wellesley College in Massachusetts. After graduation, Sawyer planned to attend law school, but decided to pursue a career in broadcasting. Her first assignment was as a "weather girl" on WLKY-TV in Louisville in 1967. Spending three years with the station, she was able to become a news reporter. The daughter of a Republican county judge, she left WLKY in 1970 to become an aide to Presidential press secretary Ron Ziegler in Richard Nixon's administration. When Nixon resigned in 1974, Sawyer was one of the staff members who went with him into "exile" in San Clemente, California, helping the former chief executive organize his memoirs. The connection with Nixon caused some rumblings when CBS News hired Sawyer in 1978 as a reporter. Yet, Sawyer proved herself and by the early 80s was covering the State Department. From 1981 to 1984, she was co-anchor of "CBS This Morning", an early-morning news program, before joining "60 Minutes" as its first female correspondent.

Yes, exactly. Like cross examining him. And the poster was right about the editing. Very choppy and disjointed.
From now on, W should tell them, it's a LIVE interview or forget it. I know, hard to do, given his time constraints, but worth it this year.
God bless him, he must go to bed tonight with such a headache after such a nag-fest. LOL
To: cyncooper
Oh no... did you see the whole interview? You needed to see the whole interview to see her trifling rage inspiring performance.

I love GW, and I think he'll win in a landslide in 2004, but this wasn't a good interview and it wasn't Diane's fault. When she pointed out that his admin would have to create 200,000 jobs a month in order to not be labeled another Hoover, he went through some strange facial expressions which made it seem he was uncomfortable with the question. That's not a good thing for a President to evince.
I'm convinced he absolutely hates this type of comm forum, that he probably sees ABC as another 'reality' tv show, but I wish he didn't seem so disconcerted when a couple of questions were put to him. It was the worst interview of him I've seen to date.

I looked at the weather station about 3 and it was 60 and now it is in the low 40's or high 30's. I would love to get some snow but that hardly ever happens here!

Diane Sawyer needs to stick to gauzy, soft-focus, fluffy interviews with Oprah.
She was out of her league tonight.
And whoever produced and edited that piece should be looking for a job tomorrow ... in any industry that doesn't involve producing and editing.

It's twenty minutes into it.
I did see her on clips yesterday. They had hooked up some soldiers who had been involved in the capture to their family members. I thought that was cool (surprised the soldiers, they did), and she seemed pleased with the turn of events, so that's the view I'm watching with.
I'll keep watching...

Thanks to everyone on this thread-I missed this interview and truthfully, after reading the reviews of it posted here as it was being presented, I am glad I did not.
I love our President. I flat out love him, tuck him and his family and administration into my prayers, feel so thankful to our Father for his loving hand that so faithfully guides our President and our nation, and am thinking that Diane S. deserves some very detailed, to the point, crushing emails from everyone who understands a hatchet job from a disrespectful jerk when he or she sees and hears one.
An email to the president of ABC news would be in order, as well.
To: deport
Thank You, deport. Remembered that she helped with President Nixon's memoirs. Wasn't sure what position she held with Nixon's administration. Appreciate you finding the info

Yup. He was basically saying: "Screw both Hollywood and the NYC Big Media." I like it.
To: AlbionGirl
Well, we'll just have to agree to disagree. I thought he did a great job while being attacked for an hour by a disrespectful, attacking bitch.
