Morton Kondracke just said that Madeline Albright, former US Secretary of State, said to him in a holding room before an interview

"I wonder when George Bush will drag Osama bin Laden out of hiding? Just before the election?"

Kondracke said he was stunned. He said "You can't be serious!"

He said that Albright was not laughing when she said what she said.

Given that they accepted Clinton and his delusional paranoid schizophrenic pathological lying, why are we not surprised?

They think such a thing is believable - because they would do it.

In other words, the DemocRATS think "We would do it if we were in power, thus the REPUBLICans would do it."

REPUBLICans simply think suggesting such a thing is disgusting to contemplate - but... given the debacle with Clinton contrasted with 'W' - we don't percieve such an event as even remotely possible.

It was the democRATS who, after all, denied the right to vote in 2000 to deployed military members.

The purpose of this post is not to defend the former SecState.

There are persistent rumors in DC. One hears more of these the closer one is to the Pentagon. As they surface they contain certain common threads:

(1) that he was captured quite some time ago
(2) that he has been transferred out of theater, but not to Gitmo
(3) that he sings like a canary

I cannot assess the validity. If these are true, the reason for not reporting it would probably have everything to do with tactical manipulation, NOT politicization.

So bash away at her, but do it because she sees it only in political terms. Then again, that's the only way the Dems can comprehend it, as they have no experience with tactical matters. But realize that she's not the only person saying these things.

There is a consorted effort to paint GWB with innuendo and rumors to make folks question his honesty.
I give you this incident for one example along with the Howard Dean ravings.

I tried the other day to wave a red flag with regards to what I heard on C-Span but the post was pulled immediately. I don't know why.

What I heard was this... two women callers from San Antonio Texas , about 5 min apart
tried to float another rumor that I hadn't herd before..
The jest was this... That GWB went to Iraq at Thanksgiving so he could pick up all the
Iraqi cash that was being found all around the place since the liberation.

You must believe that the Rats have taken into their play book the old addage "Tell a lie often enough and people will start to believe it”.
