[history]
We don't know for sure that Saddam Hussein was directly involved with the attacks of Sept. 11, but in at least one respect his capture allows Americans to enjoy a measure of revenge. Remember how Palestinians whooped it up on that infamous day, dancing in the streets and handing out candy, unable to contain their joy over the mass murder of Americans? Well, they're pretty bummed right about now, and it serves them right.

A million Saddams? Oh, geez.... we can't process that many at once. Could you have them surrender ten at a time?

- Leslie in SF: "I think it is shameful that the ACLU has not commented on the obvious mistreatment Hussein has suffered at the hands of the American military."
Why would the AMERICAN Civil Liberties Union have anything to say about how the US treats an Iraqi in Iraq. Shouldn't a hardcore leftist know the difference between the ACLU and Amnesty Intl?

"This is a big loss for the Arab nation. Saddam was one of the great Arab leaders who supported the Palestinian people and many Arabs."
But, but...I thought Saddam was hated by the Arab/Muslim community because he was a secularist? How could there ever be a Saddam/OBL alliance with such divergent beliefs? I always heard that "the Enemy of my enemy is my friend" was Arabic in origin. This just proves it.

The Angry Left is America's equivalent of the Palestinians: a self-destructive political movement based on nothing but a collection of grievances rooted in a falsified, self-justifying history. These grievances so distort their view of the world that they lose the capacity for ordinary moral judgment and cannot understand something as simple as that the fall of a genocidal tyrant is a good thing. Remarkable insight!

"Jihan Ajlouni, a 24-year-old university student, said, "This is a big loss for the Arab nation."
Which arab nation is this a loss for?
Palestine?
He must not even understand the conflict, only the hate, if he believes Palestine has ever been, is or shall ever be a nation!

The PA Islamofascist/kazis may have suffered more financial damage with The $oddomite being out of power than France, Germany and Russia have.

How do you expect dear Leslie in S.F.to know the difference btwn the A.C.L.U. and Amnesty Intrnat'l ?...she doesn't know the difference btwn George Bush and Adolph Hitler!

Jihan Ajlouni, a 24-year-old university student, said, "This is a big loss for the Arab nation. Saddam was one of the great Arab leaders who supported the Palestinian people and many Arabs. We feel very sad today, and we say to all the traitors and collaborators: Don't rush to celebrate because there are millions of Saddams in the Arab world Boo hoo, boo hoo, $25,000 dollars per suicide bomber down the loo. Loosing Saddam meant we can't bomb women and children too. The $750,000 should have been ours, we could have bombed synagogs with suicide cars. Boo hoo, boo hoo, the words not fun without Saddam anymore, perhaps we'll go to Osama, he's not a bore. (/sarcasm off)

Slight correction to formating of original post:
- Johnny Smith: "Muslims4Bush [sic]-- don't think we can put it that way. We don't want Americans to die. But if Bush will not bring our boys home--then they're going to have to die so that Howard Dean can win."

Bold not appearing in original is my addition. Emphasis on something so true!

Remarkable insight! I picked up on those two sentences also. Taranto is a very good writer and very sharp (He has help with this column, of course, as he credits at the end of each column.
It is a great daily read. Check it out for a few days and you will be hooked. I picked up on it from a link at gogov.com
