I'm not trying to be a jerk, and I have no major problems with Catholocism (other than the fact that ya all are a buncha graven image worshipping heathens heh heh heh just kidding) but sometimes, even the best of men can make bad decisions.

I have no emotional baggage at stake in this issue really. I just don't think that when someone criticizes something about the Holy See that it constitutes anti-catholic bigotry. That is really my only point :0)

Fair enough. I think us Catholics are a touch too thin skinned. Of course given the history of the U.S. (no Irish need apply) and the mother country (good old Queen Bess yick), we are a bit too touchy for a reason.

I only jumped in to point out that a pope can say something dumb without invalidating the beliefs of a billion people
