[history]
Mark Dorman is a special education teacher and the son of former California Congressman Bob Dornan.
The Register's Dec. 9 editorial ["B-1 drops a bomb"], commenting on Bob Dornan's decision to run against Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, missed the target. It reads as if it was conjured up in six minutes, a bite-sized amalgam of liberal mythology spin to defame and belittle a man who has devoted his life to public service.

He leaves off Rohrabacher's consistent support for RINOs, including campaigning for Richard Riordan.

I believe I would support Dornan if I lived in California.

The ACU gives Rohrabacher high conservative marks, but I don't like him. Not now, not ever.

I was going to leave that one off.
Some people are still operating under the delusion that Arnold is vaguely conservative.

Roharbacher is the moron who wanted to limit veteran disability status only to veterans injured in combat. Injuries sustained while on active duty but not from combat would not qualify.

Dornan should receive lots of campaign donations from Tom McClintock supporters. During the Recall saga, Dana endorsed Arnold and called McClintock "nerdy" on the Sean Hannity radio show.

Too late now, man.
This looks to be like a classic matchup in the GOP primary between an established RINO and a renegade conservative. The former with the backing of a moderate party and officials, the latter with a strong grassroots base of conservative donors throughout the US and hated universally by liberals.
I think it will go either way. We are in for quite a fight.
I wonder how Free Republic will go? With the sellout RINO, or the rude, in-your-face CONSERVATIVE.

Good thinking. Why I'll bet Tom McClintock comes out in support of Dornan, and then grants him access to delicious supporter, volunteer and contributor lists of those who were for "McClintock for Governor", all throughout the congressional district (and other parts of Southern California), that Robert is attempting to seize.
