Saddam Hussein Captured On December 13th, 2003, nine months after coalition forces invaded Iraq to end the threat of Saddam Hussein's Ba'athist regime...and seven and one-half months after major combat operations ended, Saddam Hussein, hiding in a dank hole, dishevealed and unkempt, was captured by US 4th Infantry Division forces. These pictures show where he was captured, his condition upon capture and after he was cleaned up, the coalition force announcement in Iraq, the jubilation amongst Iraqis, and the President as he announced it to the American people.

Just look at all those angry Iraqis protesting the evil American presence! The woman with the sign looks especially menacing! :)

I don't know. I am particularly frightened of the man giving the President the evil kiss of death. Can't you just see the hate? </sarcasm>

from my friends over there in the military and those who are working construction on rebuilding...the VAST majority of the people are glad we are there and many, many are actively working to out the troublemakers, terrorists and thugs.
There's great hope there IMHO.

Thank you all. This is my first run at this and I will be updating with pics and details as more info comes in.
But I wanted to get something out there to document what I feel is another hiostoric occassion of this entire campaign. One of several.
