"US occupation". Speaks for itself. This is the left's diatribe now.

"said Ali Hussein, 29, a stationery shop owner who said he was still dizzy with joy. "But whether he's in a hole or in jail, it does nothing for me today, it won't feed me or protect me or send my children to school," he said.

A: If Iraq is such a war-torn quagmire, why is there a STATIONERY SHOP still open? B: Why dont YOU try feeding you, protecting you, or sending your children to school instead of relying on somebody else to do it?

Looks as if they feel almost as bad as the Democrats about Saddam's capture.

""This is an oil country and it should be rich. It should not be Afghanistan."

There is so much carefully-considered, western-oriented invective in many of these (and there are SO many) reports, that I have to wonder how much of this is made-up or embellished by the "reporters" at Reuters.

It would be so much fun to tag along in Iraq with an open recorder and then compare the newspaper quotes with the actual words of the interviewees. I'll bet there is quite a "sting" waiting there.

Of course the press community would not hire you after doing such a story, nor would they publish it, since covering up for each other is part of the old-(news)boy system.

I told my wife that by Tuesday we will be hearing negative spin from the Dims...

We need to improve our human intel. If we were to compare the daily official dumbocrat "traitors" talking points with "news" stories, we could provide both a public service and an endless source of amusement.

These *ssh*les never change...

"Reuters ... BERLIN - May 15, 1945 ... Joy at the death of Adolph Hitler gave way to resentment toward Washington Monday as Germans confronted afresh the bloodshed, shortages and soaring prices of life under U.S. occupation.

"The morning after Germany's U.S. governor revealed the ousted strongman had killed himself, Germans flooded the streets to snatch up newspapers emblazoned with photos of the man who ruled them by fear, now a humbled and burnt corpse..."

Bush Brings Little Cheer to Iraqis, U.S. Troops

-- By none other than Joseph Logan of Reuters September 8th, 2003. Must be a very easy job to write the same hit piece over and over and over.

"The Americans promised freedom and prosperity; what's this? Go up to their headquarters, at one of those checkpoints where they point their guns at you, and tell them that you hate them as much as Saddam, and see what they do to you," said Mohammad Saleh, 39, a building contractor.

Why the hell would anyone do this??? Aint too bright for a building contractor.
