GWB needs a wheel barrow to lug his nads around after saying somehing as stupid as that. He signed L1 visa program into law, to bring foreigners here to take jobs Americans had in the IT business.

Red China: Gatekeeper of the Panama Canal

The Gate Keeper

Li Ka-shing: New Ruler of the Information Superhighway Global Crossing, Enron's evil twin, is about to be "rescued" by a Chinese billionaire with ties to the People's Liberation Army. Why not? He already controls the Panama Canal. Will it threaten national security to have a Chinese company controlling the fiber-optic network our defense department uses to communicate and store data?

. It also included many from Middle Eastern `countries of interest' like Syria, Egypt, Pakistan, Lebanon." The official adds: "It was shocking to see how extensive the list was." U.S. officials believe that the Venezuelan government is issuing the documents to people who should not be getting them and that some of these cedulas were subsequently used to obtain Venezuelan passports and even American visas, which could allow the holder to elude immigration checks and enter the United States. U.S. officials say that the cedulas are also being used by Colombian subversives and by some Venezuelan officials to travel surreptitiously.

IMMIGRATION
Immigration officials to upgrade system
Upgrades to a popular Internet-based service will allow people to cancel appointments and specify what help they are seeking.
BY ALFONSO CHARDY
achardy@herald.com

Federal immigration authorities are planning to upgrade an Internet-based system that allows people to set up appointments online.

Until now, InfoPass -- as the Web-based system launched six months ago is known -- has allowed people to set up appointments, but they could not cancel. Starting Friday, people also will be able to cancel and reschedule appointments and provide more detail about what help they are seeking.

InfoPass, which is available only for appointments at immigration offices in Florida, has virtually eliminated the dreaded lines outside the immigration building near Biscayne Boulevard and Northeast 79th Street. Immigration officials say they have scheduled 100,000 appointments through the system, which can be accessed at www.bcis-fla.com. http://www.bcis-fla.com/

The number of daily appointments that can be made through Infopass has been increased from 300 to 700, but the system did not permit people to cancel.

Jack Bulger, district director for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services in Miami, said 25 percent of the people who make InfoPass appointments do not show up and have no way of telling immigration officials of their cancellation.

Besides allowing people to post cancellations, the upgrade also will provide a menu of choices about the type of assistance they are seeking -- including questions about work permits, replacing green cards or speaking to an immigration officer about their case.

In addition to the upgrades, immigration officials also have added a new service at the immigration building: a walk-up window for people to pick up forms.

The window on the 79th Street side of the building is open weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

I wonder who the "WE're" that Bush is referring to?

Too bad that this immigration policy is not open to the opinions of the American taxpayer. You know, those of us that have to pay for and live with this mess.

Looks like Bush is working on that patch work quilt that will eventually become a blanket.

Clinton pulled our recalcitrant ambassador and dispatched Carville to insure the election of the right crooks.

The bidding was rigged to hand the prize to Li Kashing despite the lower bid of the American consortium.

Global Crossing paid Anne Bingaman a record two mill for six months' lobbying the FCC.

The poll on WND today of over a million polled by Savage said 96% want illegals to stay Illegals! Probably do no good, but I emailed it to the President, I've emailed him several days in a row.

Oh that's funny because I had worked for the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church of America) to purge/update old records. Well, the church takes those who want to learn theology to the USA and provides their education and sends them back to spread the His Word back to places in Africa and small pacific islands etc. Well after reading some of those files....You'd think those men of the cloth would be nice to return to their home countries to spread the Word, right? WRONG! Once they get a taste of America, you can't get them back. Do you blame them? From living in a hut to a big city, supermarkets and fast cars? These people gave every excuse not to go back then faded into oblivion.
The one BIG problem with this is that Schools and Churches are responsible for the paperwork. The government doesn't know whats going on?

I will not believe the President is serious about making America safe until he does something about the illegals. And I don't mean waving a wand and suddenly declaring them legal.
