Here is the deal.....
Spill your guts about everything or we'll drop you and a crate of short ice picks off at one of the Kurdish villages you gassed.

Put on a audio tape of a baby crying and loop it forever.Man, you are a sadist.
I want to hang myself after five minutes of listening to that in the grocery store checkout line.

No Deal send the specialist from Mossad....we'll find out the name and address of any WMD. Plus they will get to have a bit of fun with this murderer.

The death penality is not really appropriate here, would be too quick. You're right ... make him a 7-11 clerk in Harlem.

China could have tried. They would have faced the most morale-filled army in the history of the world, though. With measured words and full knowledge of what this means, I say that our military is the most powerful ever. Any nation who would confront us now would be destroyed.

He should be prosecuted in a way that makes much of Iraq's debt his debt.

The people of Iraq have the right to prepare a public trial and should be the ones to decide on the nature of his execution.
I would guess they will have a system in place in a few months to deal with it properly.
The UN and the Hague are not viable choices to assist here.
I think the Iraqi people have the right and the duty to decide this matter themselves.

I don't think the Israelis made an exception. I think they banned the death penalty after Eichmann. I could be wrong though.
In any event, if the Iraqis don't want to execute him, that's their prerogative in my mind.

"If it does emerge that most of the information that led to Saddam's arrest did indeed come from Kurdish sources, this will probably boost their status with Washington."
They way our government often works though is that this could be considered an embarrassment to the CIA, DIA, etc. Bureaucrats have a way of hurting those who embarrass them.
The Kurds have done marvelous work for us in Iraq over the years. I hope we do not let them down.

I trust the Kurds a lot more more than I do the Arabs.
Though why they should trust us after the way the Bush 1 administration encouraged them to rise up and them left them out to be slaughtered, I don't know.
